2002 avalanche 2wd

Does the avalanche have the same abs brake system as the 03 tahoe?

my dad is having issues getting several codes

C0241 - EBCM Internal solenoid or control valve circuit
C0245 - PCM indicated requested torque fault
C0251 - EBCM Internal solenoid or control valve circuit
C0246 - EBCM Internal solenoid or control valve circuit
C0242 - EBCM Internal solenoid or control valve circuit
C0252 - EBCM Internal solenoid or control valve circuit
C0268 - Pump motor circuit open/short


i changed both front hub bearings with speed sensors about a month ago

everything ran fine then the abs & brake light came on

i read that this might be either a faulty control module or bad ground

anyone else have this issue and what was the fix?

i thought i had read on this forum that something had to be resoldered in the electronic part of the EBCM

forgot to ask. will an EBCM from a 2000-2006 tahoe work on an 02 Avalanche?

I'm not sure of compatibility, but i like to stay within the generation so 00-02 to make things easier. There is a fix to have the brake module reflowed to fix broken connections. Better than buying a new one. I had a bad relay in mine too so my abs pump stayed on even with the truck off. Sent it to a guy on ebay thay fixed and tested it before sending bsck to me. Has been some years since the fix without a repeat of the abs/brake lights.
