In my 2000 Tahoe what is the procedure for repairing the Gear Selector/Odometer light that is not working now?
I heard it may be a simple soldering of a connection?

It's a reflow of the display connections to the board.

If you really need detailed info the look at the other videos. I saw a 37 minute video, but didn't watch any of it. I'm sure it's more than detailed enough to show you what to do.
If you're nervous or don't want to solder it then send it off and get it fixed for a couple hundred.
