140amp alt vs 105

[Upper tanker]

Hey all,

I currently have the 105 amp alternator on my 2 door 97 tahoe. Is the 140 a plug and play, or is the housing larger? Looking for a higher amperage for stereo, but I don't want to spend $300+. 35 extra amps should do the trick.
