Gotcha. Yea, I may get the J hook style for my 2008 Tahoe. Although I still see new ones with the clip style. Seems weird they did the J hook campaign then still use the old clip style on the new ones.

Ok... I am not sure then because the wiper replacement book I was looking at showed that the 07-08 used the clips, and 09-14 used the J-hook type... of course it might be in error.

Funny, I have an 08 Tahoe I purchased used from a dealer and it had the J-hook type already.

Question....With this service bulletin, would that mean that GM would fix this for free?? If not, what would the cost be??

A SB is not the same as a Recall...

Service Bulletins are little notes that If it was still under warranty, they might replace it free with a complaint. After the warranty is over they do not have to do anything with a SB....

Recalls or "Safety Recalls", are when they will fix it in or out of warranty for free (usually) There can be a shelf life on recalls tho. I know for the third generation Firebird and Camaro there was a recall on the buttons for the seat belts, which the majority of which has not been repaired. Most dealerships do not honor the recalls that are so old, but if you push them sometimes they will... In the case I used, at the same time you can buy a kit for $2.00 and do it yourself in 20 min.

What I thought was funny was I had a 2005 Buick Rainier where the fuel sender went kaput and I had it fixed around 70,000 miles. (it was out of warranty obviously) Come 2012, I got a letter in the mail stating that they would replace it for free... A lot of good that did me...

What are the correct wiper arms that will fit an 07 that has the J design? Mine has the weird clip for the wiper blades. And I want to be able to buy normal J hook type wiper blades. Thanks.

The J-hooks I think started in January of 2008... for good reason.
