    Steering EVO replacement

You only need 3 tools for this fix, a 15mm socket, a small flat head screw driver and needle nose pliers. The socket for the bolt in the steering column. The screw driver to release the plug connection. The pliers to reseat the gasket on the steering column when you pull it back...

    Front bumper lower valence

You removed it? Good way to get pulled over as it is a required piece of safety equipment...and fail inspection and the possibility of legal issues if you are involved in a rear end accident.

    Hid

That's a better solution. The first one shouldn't be used. Remember the current also runs through the light switch. Increase current draw will increase the heat in the switch and through out the wire. Car manufactures are not know for putting in more than what's needed. YMMV.

I wouldn't want to run 4 lights off of wires that are meant for 2.

I started to do this when my inside handle broke too. The outside looked like a real pain in the ass because of the inside metal plate. I'll watch the video later as I still have the handle sitting in my garage.

    HID - Wiring Harness Benefit?

Was this just plugged into the stock harness or where you using the HID to battery harness? If you are using the HID harness, check your ground as a bad ground will keep the lights from working. Bad ballast could also be a cause.

    Hid

Yes you can as the 4 high kit splices(really clips in) into your factory wiring harness on the passenger side before you plug it into the HIDs

    HID - Wiring Harness Benefit?

You get full voltage from the battery instead of what you get through the stock wiring that must travel through you switch. Sounds like a bad ground if nothing happened or you need to reverse the polarity. Also the HIDs warm up fast, especially if you have high HIDs.

You don't need to cut the wires on your harness, just plug them in backwards to the ballast, ie, turn the plug 180*. If you use the harness that connects directly to the battery, the plugs don't need to be flipped. I learned this when I installed after I had the hids installed the harness and...
