    Spend Jungle Jack's Money

You guys rule. Really and truly. My appreciation for the time you guys took to respond is absolute. While my only accomplishment thus far on the vehicle has been changing the headlights, I have worked on cars before. That said, I have about $5000 tucked aside for car stuff so it might be a...

    Spend Jungle Jack's Money

Greetings, Around 7 months ago I purchased my 2007 Denali after a reasonably through search. Given the realities of "plague living", I did not inspect it nearly as much as I would have. While I have/had every expectation of a 13 year old truck with 160,000 miles needing reconditioning, I feel...

    SQ Audio Upgrades Part Deux

Will do and thanks for the link. Indeed the price relative to driver quality makes me reticent to pull the trigger. That said, it is still pretty decent and JL is quite good at enclosures. At least back when I had a 12W7 ProWedge, I was quite pleased all around as I dig sealed boxes...

    SQ Audio Upgrades Part Deux

Very, very nice. The floating display is a game changer for the interior. While I have only so far added an Alpine Halo 9, I very much dig what you have done and just debating what to upgrade next. Currently thinking StealthBox first...

    05 Tahoe or 09 Yukon

Condition above all else. Given you are on L.I, I would think there would be a pretty decent selection of trucksters nearby. The trick I would think would be finding one with no corrosion as I would way rather have a competently repaired wrecked 900 from the Sunbelt than a vehicle with...

Making Yukon look a little more modern?

This. I purchased mine about 6 weeks ago and it already had 22 inch RST's. While I really do think I am going to switch to 18's, the wheels do make the Canyonero look more current. Cannot agree more about paint as well. I will also add that swapping out the OEM H/U for an Alpine Halo 9 inch...

Here’s my Audio Setup, Let’s See Yours!

Good question. I need to take more pics as I think the perspective makes the distance closer. I have not noticed any condensation but will look this morn. Ditto taking side pics to show the floating display as this really was a killer upgrade.

The right price for Suburban 2500 6.0L?

Texas is a killer market indeed. I would feel the same about cars from Georgia, Alabama, and so on too. Only bummer with TX is keeping an eye on sun damage (especially with car paint these days) though not as bad as FL. While the prices are a bit higher, OR (especially West of the Cascades)...

Here’s my Audio Setup, Let’s See Yours!

Don't think I have taken a shot from the side but will post the other pic I have. Really low profile so it is hard to see much. Single DIN. It really looks unforgettable which is rad as the dash kit was good. That said, when I head out, I will take another picture.

Here’s my Audio Setup, Let’s See Yours!

Hello, While only starting on this, I did add an Alpine Halo 9 inch floating display last week. Adding a JL StealthBox hopefully by next week and might go ahead and do Focal separates at the same time. Having CarPlay and sadly Bluetooth (2007 and all) really was a huge upgrade. Likewise...

    2012 Escalade ESV - 175k -do I dare?

Exactly. Truthfully, a major factor in choosing a 900 was their ubiquity. After owning almost exclusively relatively low production vehicles with little to no platform sharing, holy crap is it amazing to have the options borne of the polar opposite.

Thanks! Dangerous part is now the band aid is ripped off de-Boseing the system. Mostly thinking about next adding a JL Audio StealthBox and amp while keeping the OEM speakers.

Howdy, Many, many thanks again for the hearty and hale welcome. Beyond baselining fluids and so on, I have added those delightful stickers for the climate control buttons on my 07 and yesterday added a 9 inch Alpine CarPlay setup. Holy crap does it make a difference. That said, much like...

    2012 Escalade ESV - 175k -do I dare?

Perhaps it is coming from Land Cruisers, but sub 200k miles does not phase me. Moreover, it is not too difficult to find 900 variants with stupid miles on them. I reckon some of this to be both the relatively high purchase price of the vehicle and simply keeping these things with fuel mostly...

Bought a 2010 Tahoe: Build Thread

Welcome. Mighty fine looking Family Truckster you have there. Will be watching this thread as I am soon the replace the H/U from my 07 Denali as it lacks BT anyway. Or that is the excuse I am going with as I believe there is a $100 solution via module.

Would you go 20” or 22” wheels and why

While I do like the look of the 22 RST’s that the previous owner put on my Yukon Denali, I would have never had purchased them as the ride quality is adversely affected. Ditto mileage.

Thanks all for the kind replies. Really dig the wheels and they were honestly a surprise as photos were not yet up on Autotrader but the CarFax and service history were so we made the 300 mile drive North. Coming from Land Cruisers, at first the idea 22s gave me pause and I still wonder if 18s...

    2012 Escalade ESV - 175k -do I dare?

For sure. At least in Oregon/Washington, prices were pretty strong for all 900s and I actually paid not a great deal less than $12500 for the 2007 I just purchased. Then again, all servicing is up to date and the tires are brand new as well.

Hello All, Picked up a 2007 Denali last Monday up in Oregon. Had considered all of the GMT900 SUV variants and came real close to picking up an 2010 LTZ instead. Black on black with what I am guessing are later year OEM 22's. 2 owner, full service history, all options that I am aware of...
