Hey Guy's I need some advise.
I have a 2005 YukonXl with 68k. Absolutely no power train problems other than a transmission failure at 58k. Had it rebuilt ($$$) and it was as expected still a slush box.
Well last Friday I took it in because the transmission was giving me an intermittent...

Just got back from Laughlin Nevada. We went to an old town called Oatman on the Arizona side of the Colorado river. It was a 17 mile dirt road. Either you do 10mph or 50mph to smooth out the ride. Of coarse we did 50mph. We dusted out a couple cars on the way hahah...

Had a great trip. I wound up renting a brand new 2010 Suburban LT. Which worked out because the Tahoe would not have fit all our gear.
I like the 5.3 but I thought the tranny had some trouble choosing its gears with that 6 speed. Plus it seemed alot slower off the line then my Yukon XL.
They...
Jumping on a plane tomorrow to South Carolina then driving to Walt Disney World for a total of 14 days. I reserved a 2009 or 2010 Hoe or Yukon. I requested a Burb or XL but those are first come first serve.
I'm a little worried because there are 7 of us traveling (all kids) besides the wife...
Im actually thinking about a about something called a tow buddie. A friend of mine says its the way to go. Plus always nice to have an extra axle right?
I agree. I use this feature only in my pickup and when the misses is driving. Being light in the rear (pickup truck) and having a 6.0L with 4:10 gears it can get squirly around corners. But when the front diff engages it does bind when turning and you can feel it in the seat of your pants, truck...
I have been thinking about getting a travel trailer or toy hauler. The reason I'm thinking of using the Yukon and not my truck as a toy vehicle is because I have 6 people that will be needing a seat including me.
Whats the biggest you have pulled with your 5.3? Also is does the Auto Ride level...
Pulled this thread from the SSS site. Just enter your Vin# and it gives you every option your truck came with along with how many other trucks match yours.

What your were experiencing is called RPM flare..My VortecMax was doing this also. Long Story short I was having trouble with the dealer always saying "Nothing is wrong with your truck." It was still under warranty and I knew something was wrong. I requested they gave me a TAP cell print out on...
Seems like the rear a/c is not getting as could as the front a/c. I've tried having it on auto then aux and still doesn't seem to be getting very cold. Any ideas?
My 06 Vortec Max has the SS 6.0L with 4L70e and does shift quick and a little hard sometimes. If the trannys stock then it should shift smooth. I wouldnt doubt if you have some burnt clutch pad and debri floating around in there....But the Yukon however shifts light a friggn dream! I can't...
Thanks guys.....Im from the south bay area. Im in L.A county in Carson. 5 minutes away from Compton, Long Beach, Torrance, San Pedro, Palos Verdes. Im a Longshoreman for the I.L.W.U Local 13. I work here on the waterfront ports of L.A/L.B.
No I threw those on from my truck in the background. I wanted to see if I would go with 20's or 22's. I am for sure staying with the 20's. As for my pick up its getting a lift kit soon
Hello from Southern California. I just picked up a 2005 YukonXl as the new family wagon considering the misses is about to pop with or 3rd and 4th kid's (twin's)!
It's a super clean SLT with only 23,000 miles (leather and 2nd row captain chairs). I paid 18,500 for it. Love the color. Depending...
