    I am not sure on all the years. Silverado SS had them, and early escalade tahoe as well. The google interchange is misleading.

    What's up guys? Been a while. Definitely time to retire the 2500hd. What about taking a 70s c10 and putting it on an escalade chassis? The rest of the escalade would obviously be scrapped. NP149, 4l80e, lc9, 228/228 cam, Borg S480. I think that would be cool.

    LOL, the tahoe police! I did find some info on another turbo tahoe. Not only did he remove the middle and rear seats, he switched to an aluminum block, and drilled holes in the rear bumper!!!OMG! I can get you his instagram info so you can school him.

    Thanks for the replies. Yes 4x4 or awd for footbraked boosted launching. Without ever owning a 2wd tahoe, I do know with regular street radials, it would be lots of smoke, melted rubber, and very little forward motion. Hopefully with 4wd and "sticky" summer tires, it could launch good. Goal...

    From what I have googled for the last few weeks, the curb weight of a tahoe 4x4 should be about 5250. What I don't know is the weight of the second and third row seats, and the rear air stuff. I can guess the spare and hitch pretty close I think. Thanks for your help!

    Not putting any more money into my truck that is getting crusty. The engine in my truck started as an lq4 with gen 4 rods. Added 243 heads, btr dual valve springs, hardened pushrods, head studs, jfr 218/221 cam. I want a stock looking 4x4 that will run the number!

    Please reread the original post. I want a 4wd tahoe (maybe an awd escalade) and swap my drivetrain over. I do understand what is involved in doing so. With my 2wd silverado, it spins hard getting into boost at anything under 40 mph.
