    Motor and trans are permanently mounted in the pictures. Transmission fits great. Everything is flush or above the bottom of the frame. Only the tip of the transfer case is at most a 1/4" lower than frame. I can get a finger between the body and transmission in the tightest places.

    Need time to work on it and more planning a front solid axle. Need to wrap the wiring up and fire the motor. I will feel better about things after that. Fuel tank and Airdog feeding system done.

    I sure it can go but they break.. The IFS in the Durmax trucks brake steering rods often. Truck owners do solid axle swaps because other than that the trucks are great.     cleaned that nasty crap tar GM puts on the frame... They are so cheap. Also put 3 coats of Lizard Skid sound deading and a few thermal coats. Continued the coats all the way to the rear axle

    motor wont drop low enough. Maybe a pan swap but I want a solid axle anyways since Im retaining the 4x4. But note that the motor is , maybe low enough but the steering electric rack is missing.. Motor will not go low enough with the attached.

    Hands down.. Durmax swap.. Im going to.. Just got to kill the factory POS one first. U'd get 18+ miles per gallon and with only a programmer Ud out run the supercharged guys while doubling their fuel economy. And Ud have no back tires from the ridiculous burnouts.

    What controls the blinkers, day time lights and tail lights and where is it located? Some control board somewhere because everything is so smart now. cant run leds without tricking the controler. same issues using led headlight bulbs. where is the controller?

    No and before the oil change I had already cut open the oil filter and closely searched for shaves.

    Havent been driving it.. Getting it correct before driving might minimize damage or problems.. I will do the O2s because I see your point. Might do water pump just for reliability

    bought it that way.. I agree 130k miles in this amount of time would be brutal if done by one person. Price was so good I couldnt pass it even knowing that it might need a motor and transmission. Ive plenty of under the hood stuff and I wasnt scared.
