Finished adding Roku Device to the Truck

Had anyone else tried with a different device? I tried with my firestick but the results weren't so great. It works on the head unit but it's black and white and wasn't a great connection. I can't get it show up at all in the back though. I couldn't find any good cables, so I'll blame the...

    Service Stabilitrak light after tuneup

Hey guys, sorry for abandoning the thread. I had some things come up and have been pinching pennies....meaning staying away from here lol Anyway, I did get mine fixed, it ended up being the steering wheel position, sensor. As far as the other issues, I never had any, just the stabilitrak...

Probably a stupid question but where are you keeping the roku while running it? Is it hidden?

    Service Stabilitrack/Traction Control Lights

Thanks Rocket Man!! I hooked it up to a Solus and it showed code c0710. I'm assuming it's bad just want to make sure I haven't missed something else before pulling it. I'm assuming that you can test it with a multimeter with it off the vehicle, just hoping there was a way with it on.

    Service Stabilitrack/Traction Control Lights

Looks like I may have a bad sensor. Its tight as can be, wedged and greased per the TSB. Anybody know of a way to check the sensor without replacing it. I don't care to pull the column and replace it but not gonna be thrilled if that still doesn't fix it.

    Service Stabilitrack/Traction Control Lights

Does yours drive like normal? Today I got in to no lights but when I was pulling out it did a weird jerk, fighting the turn. After that the lights came on and it drove fine.

    Service Stabilitrack/Traction Control Lights

Have any luck? I'm experiencing the same thing. It drives great just that damn service light. Mine showed the break light switch and steering wheel sensor codes and both were fixed. The cruise works (which didn't before) so I know the break switch is good and 8 followed the tsb for the...

    Service Stabilitrak light after tuneup

Showed a code for the brake light switch and replaced it but no dice....but I have cruise again. Checked it this afternoon and threw the code (0710 I think) for steering wheel position sensor. I found the tsb on cleaning up and wedging the connection so I guess that's next.

    Service Stabilitrak light after tuneup

I'll be taking it back and talked about it today. He'll fix it for sure but I don't know if I can take it for a couple days. I was just trying to find any other quick checks to go through at the house

    Service Stabilitrak light after tuneup

Thanks Scotty. That about all that I could come up with but at the same time, it runs like it did before. I've only had it for about a month so I guess I could've been down a plug without realizing it....I dunno

    Service Stabilitrak light after tuneup

What could cause the "service stabilitrak and service traction control" lights to come on. I knows that a loaded question so here's the background. Yesterday I got my oil pan gasket and oil pickup tube o ring replaced as well as exhaust manifold bolts fixed and new plugs and wires installed...

    Valve cover identification

Normally id agree (and still might) but this thing has 314,xxx miles on it. To my and the previous owners knowledge, nothing had been touched on the engine. I don't think I need to get too agressive. I'm curious about the catch can though. Never heard anything about them (knew about them...

    Valve cover identification

Actually GM started AFM in 2007 but not in the 6.2l until 2009 (or maybe 2010) That being said, I've seen people comment about newer valve covers or aftermarket ones fixing some oil consumption issues on engines prior to AFM as well. I dunno I'll check that nipple though and go from there...

    Valve cover identification

Thanks iamdub! Do you know if it even applies to the early 6.2s without AFM? That's where I'm getting confused. 2007s had oil consumption issues but I think they were fixed in 2008, then in 2009 they started AFM. I dunno It doesn't seem too be burning much oil but I thought it might be worth...

    Valve cover identification

Chasing down an oil leak or leaks on a 2008 Yukon Denali. The oil pan gasket is leaking and possibly the drivers side valve cover. I know there was a tsb on the valve cover. Without removing it, can I tell if its been replaced? Did the part number change? The previously owner didn't change...
