    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

If you're only doing normal driving (no towing), even if you are doing light towing... There's little chance you're overheating. Your name leads me to believe you have a 2006? In which case you'd have electric fans. Likely you don't even need to fiddle with those but can lower temp they turn on...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

I have the cluster with the temp gauge. I'd highly recommend swapping out if you don't have one. That said, under normal duty, these transmissions are really hard to overheat w/ the factory setup. I venture the bypass I installed won't activate until this summer when I'm out using 4wd climbing...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

Cut into the side coming out of the radiator (liquid to liquid cooler) to the liquid to air cooler. You want to have the liquid to liquid cooler help heat up the trans to operating temperature. It's pretty simple... splice the thermostat into the lines going to the front, liquid to air cooler...

    2015 Yukon Denali Crank/No Start

Not familiar with the DTC codes by heart. Sounds EXACTLY like when my VATS got triggered and my truck thought I was stealing it. It will turn over but then computer turns off fuel pump so it won't run. Engine MAYBE runs for a second. Does that sound like your issue? FYI ~ I think there's a DTC...

    Truck wont start suddenly

Maybe stating something already mentioned... But have you replaced your fuel filter? I don't know if that would help... or if could be clogged. Not entirely sure how the system works but imagine a clogged filter could really put a wrench in things. My pump at 255,000 miles was still perfect. I...

Random complete loss of all electrical power overnight

You're on right track more or less. I'm sure you've checked this... But make sure you have a GOOD connection from battery to battery cables. It can be you have a break in those power cables under the hood somewhere leading you to this symptom. It would drain the battery, and be dead as a door...

    Truck wont start suddenly

You say cranks but won't start... As in it fires over but won't keep running? Or just cranks? FYI ~ VATS will produce a similar issue if it glitches and thinks you stole your own truck. It'll fire over but not keep running. Otherwise, if it's JUST cranking, then you need to make sure your...

    PCM delivering wrong fuel mixture?

Awesome just what I needed to know! Awesome, that would make most sense to me. Thanks! You hit the nail on the head. The external cooler is WAY to big. Factory I found was actually really good for what I do, despite it's really small size. It worked for 95% of what I did. The 5% I have a trans...

    PCM delivering wrong fuel mixture?

GREAT Help... I dove deeper into the evap system. The solenoid is broken / stuck open, and command signal is stuck high as well. EVAP SYSTEM: Purge solenoid is broken / stuck open Command signal (harness side) always 1.5Ohms to ground green / white wire. However, I assume the pink (or orange?)...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

Ah gotchya, I was running my original 4L60E up to 240k miles, when I swapped with another I built up. Never had any issues with it. What temps you see with your Tru Cool cooler? Did you notice a loss in MPG? I'm also troubleshooting a 2MPG loss around the time I put the cooler on. Not sure...

    PCM delivering wrong fuel mixture?

I'm till working hard to try and figure this out. Not much progress so far... It's still down to 12.5 MPG from 14.5 MPG. I'm currently going over data I collected in HP tuners from previous iterations of my tune where I got better mileage. Injector duty cycle doesn't look much if any different...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

Great question, I couldn't say, I need to trace the lines. I had really thought it was trans, radiator, cooler, then back to trans but honestly, I've never traced it. My temps are 100F to 120F. Ambient ranging from 45F to 75F. I think in summer when it's 115F cooler would be fine more or less...

    Correct Tru-Cool 40k Trans cooler

I bought the trucool bypass regrettably. It's a barb fitting to be used with ring clamp and rubber hose. Kind of chinsy. Got rid of that thermostat and ordered a Derale which uses screw fittings to connect to line set, much better and same price... although not including cost of fittings and...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

Yeah I kept the radiator cooler connected. Somebody told me and I didn't know any better, that I'd not need the thermostat because I'm going through the radiator cooler. I'm throwing that tru-cool thermostat away. Cooler is getting to be a bit of a money pit :bawl: That said, guy who sold it...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

I'm having a horrible time with this dumb cooler. The cooler I shouldn't pick on as much as the thermostat. It's got me ready to rip it off and throw it in the garbage. My trans runs SUPER cold. WAY too cold. I bought the thermostat which came with no fittings, and no instructions. Everybody on...

    Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler

Anybody installed this bypass before? I finally got mine. I don't like the push to connect fittings it's setup for. I want something that screws together. Does anybody know of fittings to adapt push to connect to a screw fitting / hose nut? I cannot find a single solitary video of somebody...

My ultimate 6.0L truck engine build

Interesting! What's an L96? Is that a newer direct injection setup? That would be SWEEEEEET Direction injection is AWESOME other than injectors cost a bloody fortune. I'm certain you're right on rod & crank combination. The difference was quite a lot for 5.3 pistons versus 6.0.. something like...

My ultimate 6.0L truck engine build

This build has been INSANELY fun. Tuning can get a bit frustrating with price of gas right now but still is great fun. I think only thing complaining is my wallet :p Engine isn't a WOT screamer. However, climbing is insane. I can climb stuff at part throttle that I used to have to use 4wd low...

Got Rear Ended, Need a Rear Bumper

Oh gosh, I'm cheap. I'd just get a factory one from the junkyard. They made millions of GMT800's so every junkyard has a bunch of them. I've taken mine off a few times. It's child's play to remove them. As far as aftermarket bumpers, I've been reluctant to get one. I fear that those big off...

My ultimate 6.0L truck engine build

Few notes / updates since last post... Upgraded following components Injectors: Switched to L59 flex fuel injectors. I'd not maxed out the stock 24lb / hr ones in the tune but they were leaking so I upgraded to the L59 ones. You can find them used for really cheap. I had to get adapters to...

Power door locks unlock but only driver will lock?

Actually logged in. I need to create a engine build video. I went WAY overkill for my engine, nearly $10,000 hand built by me 6.0L. People keep asking me what I built so I need to write it down / make a video cause I forget haha I'll do next best thing... Open Driver's door. Look at end of...

Rear doors and hatch can't be locked or unlocked

Welcome to the club! I have similar issues *sigh* Typically it's my driver door that will unlock but nothing else. Lock works fine. I swapped the drive actuator / latch with another from the junkyard. My locks worked for a while then went back to doing what they were doing before. Few things...

    Rear Liftgate Glass Hinge Hardware?

It maybe the glue. My 2001 needs fixed yet. The glue gave out that holds the hinge to the glass.

    PCM delivering wrong fuel mixture?

@Marky Dissod I hadn't thought about extra weight! Great idea, I kept trying to find roads with a slope on them but is difficult to find one long enough. I could literally just throw a bunch of weight in back... hrm! Great idea! You have great points with the rich versus lean. I gave that lots...
