I'm running 20" wheels on my 2016 Tahoe and would like a spare to match my wheels that are currently on the Tahoe. Will a 20" rim/wheel fit under the Tahoe? If so, are there stock 20" steel rims out there? I'm not up to speed on what size spares are available with different models. Thanks for...
I use a battery tender for my 2008 JKU Jeep Wrangler, 2017 4Runner TRD Premium and my 2016 PPV Tahoe. I have a work vehicle that I drive the vast majority of the time and all of my vehicles sit for a weeks at a time. I do start them and drive them when I can but my Jeep and 4Runner have AGM...
It is a PPV but it is my personal vehicle that I was able to buy new from a Chevy dealership in Houston. I have a Suburban take-home vehicle so none of my personal vehicles are driven very much. That 2016 Suburban's hood and roof's paint is ruined as well along with 7 other black Suburbans.
I...
I have a 2016 PPV Tahoe that I purchased new as a personal vehicle and it currently has 23,500 miles on it. The Tahoe is typically covered from the elements but the hood has started to fade very quickly as of late. Most of the work vehicles in my unit are 2015-2016 Suburbans and 7 of the 8 are...
Yes, there is a 2WD, AWD, 4 HI & 4 Lo options on the 4wd PPV. I keep mine in 2WD unless it is raining, then AWD. I can go from 4 HI to AWD or 2 WD while driving. 4Lo is where things are different.
Keying all department vehicles the same is a real thing but not common anymore. The Austin Police Department in Texas had their patrol Crown Victorias keyed all the same for many years. I’m not aware of any departments doing it in the central Texas area anymore but I’m not surprised to hear that...
Remember, PPV will not have all of the creature comfort options since it is a work vehicle and not a family vehicle. I bought my 2016 PPV new and it has only the basic radio option and only cruise control on the steering wheel. My old work SSV (2012 SSV Tahoe), which was just sent to auction in...
They definitely are different. My personal Tahoe is a 2016 PPV I bought new and my work car is a 2012 SSV (they aren’t PPVs) and they handle very differently.
I love the stiff suspension and how well it handles. With that said, my work vehicle is a 2012 SSV which has stiff suspension as well so maybe I’m accustomed to the harsher ride. I can certainly understand those that find the ride not ideal.
I’m running 20” wheels and I had my speedometer calibrated when I got my Black Bear tune as well. It was off by about 6 mph so I was going faster than what my speedometer showed.
I bought my 2016 PPV brand new and it came with remote start. Mine didn’t come with an automated trunk gate. With my key fob I have to hit the lock button first then hold down the button that has the circular symbol on it. You may know this already so disregard if you do. I know you can find a...
I bought my 2016 PPV brand new and I haven’t had any problems with mine. With that being said, I only have about 20,000 miles on it. If there were going to be any issues with it I’m sure it would be the same issues other Tahoe models have. A lot will hinge on how well it was taken care of prior...
Which part of the floor mats are curling? I own weathertechs and have the front driver/passenger and the one piece floor mat for the back passenger area. I have not experienced any heat related curling here in Texas on the floor mats but the back passenger doors do close on the corners of the...
Well, for my Tahoe there isn't any discernible noise change from the cab going from 2WD-Auto-4 High. When I posted my results it was based on driving in a straight line at a moderate speed as I stated. I know there would be a different feel if I was turning while in 4Hi. Also, I'm running street...
I ran my tahoe from 2wd to auto with no change in sound or feel. I then went from auto to 4wd with no change in sound or feel. I then reversed the process back to 2wd with no change in sound or driving feel. I was driving on dry asphalt between 35-45 mph. I did not make any turns which may have...
I know there isn't any different sounds or feel going from 2wd to auto and back. I check out going to 4wd, auto and 2 wd tomorrow on the way in to work. I'll update after that.
I only put mine into Auto when conditions are wet then put it back to 2wd during normal driving conditions. I know gas mileage is negatively affected when you have it in Auto.
I bought my 2016 PPV new from the dealer who sells them to active LE at fleet pricing. I just broke 13,000 miles on it and had the oil changed & tires rotated one time at a Chevy dealership. I'll ask them next time I get my vehicle serviced if it is policy to make changes to the PPV model if...
