The kit from tgautomotive works perfectly but the whole assembly has to come out of the roof which means pulling the headliner. I had mine all re-upholstered while I had it out and now my sunroof works flawlessly.
Push and hold the close button to reset the motor I think like 10sec. I had to do it to mine then I also had to replace all the plastic pieces a few weeks later but the reset got it to close all the way.
Not sure about the non Bose wiring requirements...but the head unit you listed on the other hand that's the same one I just installed in my Yukon and my favorite double din so far.
As soon as I get home I'll get the part number and the web address and get it to ya. That sounds like the same thing mine was doing. The sunshade would slide all the way back then get stuck and not slide back forward with the glass.
Have you tried to do the reset on it? If I remember right you close the sunroof and hold the button for like 10sec. I replaced the plastic parts on both sides that slide in the channel and catch the sunshade when opening and closing the glass. I got the pieces from TG Automotive they where $110...

Google TG Automotive they have the plastic parts that look to be broken in those pics. I just ordered a set they run $110 plus shipping. Hope this helps
