I installed a spectrum air intake with a black widow venom 250 series muffler on my Tahoe, left everything else original. on some of my posts there's photos that i took. MPG stayed about the same, just the sound difference and the reusable air filter made it worth it for me.
Here's some more photos of what I have added. 17x9 XD129 wheels, Excalibur alarm with remote start and also had the alarm guy add two buttons under dash, one opens the rear liftgate glass and the second one the liftgate. I also changed the RH side before cat oxygen sensor (walker brand) going on...
Went to the salvage yard looking for the spare tire Jack kit and found the rear tow hitch for 50 bucks, so I jumped on that deal. I guess those bolts are super glue to the frame because they're all tight lol but after cursing in two different languages hahaha, they we're all out. I was going to...
Thanks Matt, It came with that bumper when I bought it out of an auction, the pushbar I purchased from a shop in Mcallen, TX. Did you add the antenna post? My doesn't have one.
I'm the same way, I have to go look at craiglist first, ebay is getting crazy. For new parts I start with Amazon and dealer is my last attempt lol. Today I went to the local junkyard and score me a complete spare tire tool kit for $20 bucks and a rear OEM tow hitch for $50 bucks out of a 09 tahoe.
I bought my tahoe from an auction and had a few items missing (rear heater core, rear tailgate hinge missing and didn't open, all rims different) checked the rear doors and removed panels had both cables missing, hopefully I ordered the correct ones, thanks Gene.
Lol, bought it for $40 bucks including the DIC button LOL and came out of a 2007 tahoe. I noticed it has a leather steering wheel that I might purchase but there's nothing wrong with the steering wheel that I have, plus I don't want to make too many changes because I like the PPV look, that's...
Found the DIC button and trim at junkyard today, had some spare time and installed it. Comparing both trims, using a Dremel tool wouldn't be that bad either.
Looks good. I had a black widow muffler installed on my tahoe, I kept the rear silencer, so it does not sound loud; that's what i wanted. Today I'm going to pick up the rear OEM tow hitch from the junkyard, just need to get the correct shifter that goes with it or can i use the original one?
I want to try this set up, how much are tahoe rear OEM tow rebar going for? I priced one today from an 08 for $100. From a local junkyard, is that a good price ?
