*solved* Just wanted to make here a note, a month ago i replaced the stabilizer bar links and the bushings and that solved the leaning Its now perfectly even, full gas tank or not. As it should be (M1Gunner has it right ;) On the eye there was nothing wrong to see, no bents or what so ever...

Leaning to the left.. problem or normal

It's about 15mm of a difference (left - right). The thing is, i do not have a reference what is normal, so thanks for the reply's . Well, I think i will let a mechanic look at it, if mechanical wise everything is fine, I will leave it this way. Still..it's kinda odd when designing a car, the...

Leaning to the left.. problem or normal

hi guys, There is one thing, I can't really wrap my head around. My chevy is a bit leaning to the left, especially on the back. I know there are threads about this, but I can't see any solution ( if there is any) Is this something normal to an GM truck? I know the gas tank is also on the left...

    4l60e problem

Hmm sounds like a scam, or this "guy" is just a amateur. Anyway i would go to a official company, and let them look at it. One thing I know is that a automatic transmission is the most complex piece of a car. Sorry to hear!

    Upgrade rear suspension

I think you have the normal springs, but didn't you have the self-leveling shocks (nivomat) ? I thought they are standard with the towing package

    Goal is Original Ride Quality

Well, what do you mean with "rough" ? If the ride is very sluggish I would say change your shocks and also the coil springs. Or.. do you have the auto-ride option? (Z55) it could be there is some kind of defect?

I found this very handy url on the web where you can lookup all the TSB's of almost every car. (including of course Tahoe/Yukon) maybe useful (or not) http://www.revbase.com/bbbmotor

    Nivomat shocks - totally worn out @100k miles (G65 / ZW7)

Well, the reason why i also changed the coil springs is more like a preventive measure. Why not change the coils as well (its not that much of a money, compared to the nivomat shocks!) Nivomat is great, but mine where just blown up. I wrote also a complain letter to sachs (the german company...

Crackling noise coming from steering wheel

    Nivomat shocks - totally worn out @100k miles (G65 / ZW7)

I had to replace my rear shocks, at first i thought the sluggish suspension is normal by American cars, but later on, i had the feeling this isn't normal. So i ordered from rockauto a pair of coil springs (Moog 81071) and two new nivomat shock absorbers (ACdelco 580-354). Let me tell you, what...

About the right octane grade & Ethanol

I hope to make an useful contribution with this thread. My curiosity was triggered about getting the right octane grade.. The right octane grade Lets take the 5.3L Vortec Gen III engine, the compression ratio is typically 9.5:1 So for old engines (pre-electronic management, carburetors ) the...

Well about the octane rating, i just found out there is actually a difference between Europe and US in terms of octane rating for gasoline. US are using "AKI" Anti-Knock Index and Europe is using "RON" Research Octane Number. (thanks to Wikipedia; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating in...

I am not having big plans for upgrading or so, the only thing is maybe the exhaust. It could have a bit more V8 sound in it. But it has to be discrete, i don't wanna wake up my neighbors in the morning :) @mark: Eur95 is regular grade over here (which has a octane of 95) It seems to me, that...

    Lets see, i am paying now for 1 litre of gas (eur95) about € 1,45 So: € 1,45 = $ 1,65 -> 3.8 * 1,65 = $ 6,27 per gallon For a full tank (26 gallons) i am paying 26*6,27 = 163,03 dollars And i am doing on average 17/18MPG Plus i am paying every month $ 158 road tax (i am not sure if you guys in...

Thnx, for all the warm welcome's! :) Almost every road here are just fine to drive, enough space. The funny thing is when driving you automatically enforce respect to other (smaller) automobiles, they will go out of the way for you :) The thing is, there is also a big financial reason why...
