Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I’m about to leave in a few and try the 5 psi you suggested. I have tried a little air in them but didn’t want to raise the rear end.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I’m not running any pressure in them. I only do that when I tow. If I put air in them now it will lift the rear of the truck.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

Here are the pictures of the springs as it sits. Could they be put in upside down? Would that matter?

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

interesting. I think I will look into that. I plan to replace the carpet first. It looks a mess but was like that when I got it. It was lower mileage but the original owner had small kids.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I’ll get some pics of the springs at ride height The wheels are hyper black chrome. I will try the bilstein 4600’s and see if that helps. Other than that, the ride is great. I do hate all the plastic rattle when going over bumps, but it did that with stock suspension.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

Yes it has the shock extenders. In my opinion, I think the springs are bottoming out. The shocks have plenty of travel left.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I want to say yes, but I’ll check later today. It’s been a while since I lowered it.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I did do the free travel mod and I’ll have to find out which shocks I’m using. Toney NorcalSS set me up with the kit.

Lowered Tahoe takes bumps in rear too hard

I have a 2/3 drop on my 2010 Tahoe and I’ve never liked how the rear takes bumps. I have the belltech kit and the street shocks and struts that came with it. Should I switch to some new rear shocks? If so, which do you recommend? Any other recommendations will be appreciated.

    Oil pressure drop?

I can’t say if I noticed it being any different before. My truck was in the paint shop for a month and getting it back had me monitoring everything closely and noticed it. It may have been this way for a while. Can’t remember. I’ve been more focused on my C6Z. I’m getting ready for a trip from...

    Oil pressure drop?

So you think I should look into replacing the oil pump ASAP or what? Thoughts?

Oil sending unit size (other than 1 1/16?)

I know this is a couple of months old, but I just replaced my sensor today. I believe your socket is hitting on the shield sitting right in front of it. I had this same experience an hour ago. Also, I removed the OEM unit with a 12 point 1 1/16” deep socket. I had to use a 6 point to install the...

    Oil pressure drop?

Swapped it out with new sending u it and filter. It did not go over 40 psi on cold start but it did when I rev’d the engine higher. May change the oil again and use a different filter, or maybe just swap the filter

    Oil pressure drop?

Got it out. Video helped a lot. Doesn’t appear to be clogged though. I’ll swap it all anyway

    Oil pressure drop?

I called tonight and they have the standard brand that comes with the filter. Going to attempt to swap it without removing the intake. Just worried I won’t be able to get the filter out.

    Oil pressure drop?

I have a 2010 Tahoe LT WITH 149k miles. What’s considered quality parts besides OEM? I usually shop at O’Reillys.

    Oil pressure drop?

I chose to post here rather than start a new post. I just noticed my oil pressure harboring around 20 psi at idle during normal operating temperature. I checked it this morning during cold start and it only went to like 35 psi. Never over 40 psi. after reading I plan to change the sending unit...

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

Thanks! I wasn’t crazy about the color when I got it. I only purchased for family road trips for travel soccer. It was the lowest mile, one owner I could find at the time. Then I couldn’t get rid of it so I kept it, lowered it, and added the wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can I turbo my stock 2010 Tahoe 5.3L?

Dang this is not going well. I really don’t want to get into replacing and rerouting lines. I also do not want to relocate the turbo. Maybe it’s time to figure out prices of a 6.2 and compare that to the price of a supercharger kit. [emoji17] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can I turbo my stock 2010 Tahoe 5.3L?

I’m thinking Turbo still because of the price. The issue with the A/C lines is a concern. Can they be wrapped or manipulated a little to be safe near the turbo. Maybe a small shield of some type? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can I turbo my stock 2010 Tahoe 5.3L?

Note taken. It appears after a test on all cylinders, possibly upgrade fuel pump, and upgrade injectors, I could run 10 psi or less. I’d be good with 6-8. No real reason for wanting to go boosted except for the cool factor and being different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
