    Trakmotive 8033xtt extended travel CVs

How was the install? I ordered a set for my 06 yukon. They came in today. Got the old one out on the passenger side (needed to be replaced) and started to get the new one in but ran out of daylight and had to get the kids fed and ready for bed anyway. What little bit I did with the new one...

    2nd Row Easy Entry/Exit Broken

So, I just swapped out my 2nd row buckets for a bench. Problem is, the easy entry/exit feature located on the passenger side seat is broken. Seat won't slide forward like it should. I looked and there's a little black plastic piece that is broken. Went to see if I could cannibalize the part from...

Nice! Looks like the same tails, too. What would the wheels look like without the cladding? Were you planning on painting them or something? I've actually got 2 sets, one in rougher shape than the other, and I'm not opposed to playing around with the one set.

I looked into it. We were told that because of where the cracks were that they weren't repairable

Yep. I believe these originally came off a newer Sierra. I miss my original 20s (cracked 2 of them avoiding getting hit) and I'll probably find 2 more and go back to that look. I do like these a lot too though.

It needs a really good detailing, but here it is as it sits today.

A dirty imprint from some random heavy part. The dirt/grease is gone, but the impression is still there. I'm gonna have child car seats making impressions of their own, so I'm okay with it. Lol.

Thanks for the warm welcome back. I got some time up clean the seats up a bit today. There's a couple small tears I'm gonna repair, and they could still use a bit more cleaning, but overall I'm pleased with how well they cleaned up. Sad thing is, they looked pretty pristine when the salvage yard...

Been awhile since I've updated this thread. I've been doing little things here and there. But my latest find has me excited! Just picked up a second row bench from another xl Denali. Matching 2 tone pewter/gray leather plus heated seats. I've been looking to swap my captains for a bench since I...

    Another Z55 delete question

Okay, on my 06 YDXL, I've swapped the front and rear shocks for Bilstein 5100s. I've wired in resistors for all 4 shocks. I've pulled the RTD fuse. Do I need a resistor for the compressor? Need to do anything else?

2001 Tahoe not shifting to 3rd

Needs a transmission rebuild. Just went through the same thing with mine. Losing 3rd gear is a common problem with these transmissions once they get older.

The keys are just about as low as they can go. I plan to crank them down a few more turns tomorrow. That'll likely have at least one of them sitting on the adjustment bar. Beyond that, my only option is to go back to stock (green) keys and crank them up. I'll decide that after I get the back...

Adjusted the camber today. Driver side needs some more work (ran out of daylight plus hungry kids), but it's better than it was. And the passenger side is just about spot on. Makes a huge difference in how she tracks. Still trying to figure out why 3" lift keys gave me 4"+ of lift. I'll keep...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

What do the angles of your CV axles look like? Just installed ebay "Ford" keys on my 06 XL Denali with Bilstein 5100 shocks, and the front is sitting at 40"!!! Haven't done the back suspension yet, but I'm worried about my CV axles. Don't have much room to crank the keys down. Saw in another...

Installed keys and front shocks on XL Denali

Put some 5100 Bilsteins in the front the other day. Got some Ford keys put on yesterday. Sitting at 40" in the front - thinking I'm gonna crank it down an inch later today or tomorrow. Hoping to get longer end links on in the next few days and get the rear done by this weekend (Moog HD springs...

Got the passenger side key in. Wondering if I messed something up though. Somehow both sides are at 40" at the front and about 35.5" in the back!!! Holy squat Batman! Lol. I know a lot of that will be evened out when I install the Moog HD springs and 1.5" spacers, so not worried about that...

Rain decided it was gonna hold off, so I got a few pics. Had my oldest son pick up a better jack (our good one got stolen by the in-laws and we never have replaced it) and I'll get back out there soon to get the passenger side done. Once everything is done, I'll get some new tires (very much...

I finally got the driver side done. Much easier when the clamp doesn't bend! I do have a question though - once I got the adjustment bar and bolt back in, tightened it up to where it was on the stock key (1" of thread left on that side), and started unloading the clamp, the adjustment bolt...

Since I'm raising it up, should I add bump stops under the jounce bumpers? No plans for off-roading, but would like to be able to if there's ever an actual need. With or without off-roading, adding bump stops would be a good idea, right? That pic is with that side on the ground, by the way. Only...

Okay, before I even get started today, I need some educating from you fine knowledgeable people. Is what I have here a bump stop or a jounce bumper? Is it the same thing as a lca bumper? Haha, thank you! We got the crappy torsion bar tool backed out finally (thanks to hubby - I just didn't have the strength). I'll try the local auto parts stores. Most of our friends are the types that would pay to have anything done. It was an Amazon cheapie. Had a LOT of good reviews, but I honestly don't see how considering. I should have heeded the negative reviews. Some had the c part of the clamp bend. Some bad the bolt bend. I figured those reviews were idiots who tried using it with the vehicle on her ground...
