    Hope that is the case, I am suspecting the power steering pump is bitching, cannot ensure that because it doesn't sound like a bad power steering pump... but when I turn the wheel the noise changes, goes slightly quieter.     So I bought some belt dressing while on lunch break and it made no difference. All my stuff is newish, less than a year old. I am wondering if that hard start hurt a pulley or maybe the alternator. It seems to be charging okay and driving fine...maybe I should leave it alone? I could always try...

    It was sealed up in a delco box, looks new to me. It had all the wrapping on it and everything. I went through several "reset" procedures on the web and I have it "sort of" working.
