I swapped out my H11 bulbs for H9 bulbs. Extremely happy with them. You have to trim off a tab inside the connector on the bulb. Easily done with a razor. Or hot knife. Bulbs are brighter, whiter, patterns well with a wider beam. H9bulb: 1700-2200lm; H11: 1100-1400lm
I haven't needed to yet. I can take a measurement soon though of the overall height. I don't see a problem for Boston garages,it doesn't seem all that tall compared to other stuff I've done.
I just got the ebay denali replicas for $900. They balanced pretty well. One wheel spun on the balancer with very little motion like the wheel was bent or the hub was a hair off center. Put it on the back and it feels fine. The paint is a little thin. Definitely worth the money for me.
Thanks. I was considering removal but access to the screws didn't look easy. Have to check more into it. May end up trimming it back instead. Also found that the sidewall barely rubs the swaybar at full lock. 6" or less backspace would be better.

The HID and H11 halogen projectors are different types. H9 bulbs are a excellent swap. Also If you want a good HID swap. Pull the housings apart, you can swap in FXr projectors using the dodge retroquik brackets from retrofit source.
