Hey Sam, good luck down in Texas. I've been thinking about relocating as well, been here since the 70's. After retirement I'd like to tow my car around rather than an oxygen bottle. :) Have a safe drive and let us know how it goes.
I installed the 145a alternator on my Tahoe and Silverado, and had to adjust the belt size as well. Most serpentine belt tensioners have a couple of marks that line up when you have the correct belt size installed. The Tahoe had a 130a unit from the factory and the Silverado had a 105a.
I paid $38 per pedal new. Amazon has since dropped the price to $28 each. I wanted to get the GM pedal while it was still available.
If you follow this video over to YouTube he has a complete parts list in the description. The hydroboost unit is less expensive on RockAuto than Amazon...
Most of the hydroboost conversion articles and videos that I’ve seen recommend getting a new hydroboost unit rather than a used one, which postpones the leaking. :) Which reseal kits/methods have you tried? I’m gathering information as I know that it will leak at some point.
Replaced the blend door actuator, and it wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be. Rockauto to the rescue. I also started collecting parts from Amazon to do a hydroboost conversion on the Tahoe and Silverado.
For mine I picked up a heavy duty fan from a 2007 Tahoe with the 7/9 blade combo. I replaced the motors with new ACDelco units (Bosch). Here’s the part numbers if you need them.

I did the conversion on my ’01 with ZW7/G65. The spring on the left is the Moog Z71 spring #81069. The spring in the center is the standard Moog spring #81071. The spring on the right is the factory ZW7/G65 spring. I ended up going with the standard spring on my leveled ’01.
The thread size is 30mm x 1.5. I haven’t tried this one yet but it should work. You'll have to check with them to see if the plastic one is threaded.

That’s the second design rear glass; I have one in my basement that I picked up at a local yard. It’s pretty scratched up, but I purchased it just for the plastic trim piece at the top.
There’s an oil pressure tap that you could use on the driver’s side front of the block. ICT Billet makes an adapter to 1/8” NPT if you need it. It’s popular with LS swaps to run the factory oil pressure sending unit/gauge on older vehicles...
The best way I found was to compare the tires “revolutions per mile” rating on the manufacturer’s website. My tires are Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain LT265/70R18. I then found a tire size in the Tech2 that was close to the same revs per mile.
Your truck looks great with the new wheels. It really makes a big difference. :driver: If you have access to a tech2 or other programmer you can correct the speedo if the tire size is different than the originals. I put 2015 Silverado take offs on mine a few years ago along with some factory...
I installed Air Lift air springs on my Tahoe to help with towing. The install wasn’t too bad, although I think I de-laminated my thumbnail trying to force the bags inside the rear coil springs. It does a good job of keeping things level. Had a chance to test the new setup before the snow...
My '02 Silverado Z71 is a short box step side that was purchased new. It's been a good truck through the years, and I've towed my C10 with it many times. There's a guy here in the area that has a similar one with a cat-eye front end, same color.
