Howdy Y’all.
my 2016 Tahoe has about 62k on the clock and I am the original owner. This is the first hot season I’ve seen the engine temp rise to from 209*~ to 220*ish empty and/or pulling a small trailer. The previous summers I never noticed an issue. I changed the thermostat in April for...
Howdy y’all....
Im looking for a roof rack system and roof luggage container. Never bought them before but a quick shop and search showed universal setups and I’m looking for bars that use the rail tracks our Tahoe’s have. I assume the track on our Tahoe is made for luggage racks anyhow. Any...
Sorry for the late update. For who is curious, the sharp engage I was feeling was only when the 4WD was in AUTO. Keep it in 2WD, and I don’t feel anything strange. That is other than the cold start shudder when shifting from fast start up, which I experience to be somewhat normal... I guess...
Dude that’s exactly what’s happening with mine. The technical notes on yours would be helpful for this dealer to get it straight the first time I go. Nothing more pisses me off than having to go back time and time again.
Small world bro. Tuttle OK. Originally from Houston TX. Oil industry brought me here. I bought the Tahoe from Smicklas. They’re kinda goofy at the service dept. Going to John Holt Chevy or Byford GMC in Chickasha for now on.
I try to leave it in 2WD. We live in Oklahoma and my wife freaks out in rain and high winds and feels the Auto helps better. ♂️ So it ends up in Auto often. The dealer I purchased from told me it won’t hurt the drivetrain one bit. I’ve caught on to their dishonesty in the last year on other...
Nice to know. I’ll get the trans serviced next time and request/inquire about the new fluid. No longer using the service dept I purchased from. Going to a different stealership for service from now on.
It has a 2WD, AWD, and 4WD high selector settings. No 4WD low since it’s not the Z71 package.
This just sorta started happening. 27k miles. First noticed with the selector in AWD. I just switched it to 2WD last time I drove it, but haven’t noticed the hard engage since. Hardly ever drive it.
Howdy Y’all,
Question regarding a 2016 Tahoe.
When shifting from park to drive, and after waiting for the feel of first gear engaged (usually no more than 1-2 seconds and intentionally waiting 10 seconds after dropping to drive), when giving throttle to accelerate, she feels like she then slams...
For everyone who says, “the white letters get dirty and loook bad” How about you clean it every once in a while. LOL.
For real tho, on the Tahoe, black out. On the truck, white out with BFG KO’s.
We stepped out of our 14 GC and into our 16 Tahoe just last year. The GC with a hemi is fast and fun to drive, but the size and comfort of the Tahoe is hands down the better choice for us. What made us make the decision was having our son. We just didn’t have enough room traveling wise with a...
That’s exactly what I’d do. I wouldn’t mind about high mileage, drive it till the socks fell off and send it to DuraBurb for a Dmax conversion!!!
That 2500 suburban sits on the truck chassis which is a solid platform to begin with. The 2500 Work trucks I’ve had survive the beating from me and...
