    New Tire Options

Well I bought new winter tires today. Wintercat SST studded in 285 and no rubbing! The shop called and said it was very very close. After this winter I’ll be getting new ATs, likely the K02s in 285s.

Crash safety : 2007 to 2014 Yukon Vs 2015+ Yukon

Don't know. I would suspect the Escalade EXT/Avalance to perform closer to the Suburban/Yukon than Silverado. No overlap test videos are out there on youtube for the burb/hoe/kon/Esky... But I did find this, which is essentially your Esky EXT.

Crash safety : 2007 to 2014 Yukon Vs 2015+ Yukon

Not really the point I was making. As I couldn’t find an overlap crash for a Suburban I don’t know if it is safer than a crew cab truck of the same platform. They may be similar actually. The point I was getting at is that in the overlap crash, extended cabs usually do better than crew cabs...

Crash safety : 2007 to 2014 Yukon Vs 2015+ Yukon

2015 Frontal Crash Test 2013 Frontal Crash Test GTNator, I agree. Overlap tests on the suburban would be nice to see. A lot of full size trucks, particularly crew cabs do poorly in that test.

How do you like them for noise? The Kelly Safari on there now is an M/T and the wife complains about the noise. (They howl pretty good at 60+ MPH, it's not just her). I'm pretty much stuck between the KO2 and the Toyo Open Country AT2. Now if someone would say that 285s will fit no problem...

    New Tire Options

How do you like 275s? It seems they are not as common/harder to find than 285. That is part of my wanting to run 285s, for availability. I have heard great things about the KO2 and want to get them next year for my summer tire, but the only place I can seem to find them where I live is Costco.

    285s on stock burb

Anyone running 285s on a stock suspension 07-14 burb? Any rubbing or issues?

    New Tire Options

Hey all. I am looking at new tires for the burb. I really want something bigger/meatier. Current tires are Kelly Safaris in 265/70/17. I want to go to up to 285s. I wil run a set of studded winter tires and get som A/Ts for summer. Anyone running this size? Any rubbing issues or problems...

    Boost fuel economy

Replace fuel filter, put a K&N air filter in, or just clean it if you already have one. Bump up tire pressure and drive like granny as others mentioned. Throw some seafoam in the gas and oil, and see if there is any improvement. I got nearly 20 MPG on my last road trip and see about 16...

    Wheels Question

I know, I've got a burb not a 'hoe but I was hoping for good input on this. Can I fit 16" GMT800 wheels from a 2000 Half Ton on my GMT900 2013 Burb that runs 17s? I've read contradicting info that the 16"s won't fit due to the brakes on the GMT900? Bolt pattern is the same though, right...

Got a '13 burb with the tow package and 3.42s. Averaged 19.9 mpg on a 300 mile trip today, majority of it on 65mph state highways with a few 7% grades too. You are right on target at 20 mpg straight highway.

    Debating on a suburban

I looked for about 6 months this last year until I found my '13 LS two states over. The sticker was in the glove box, it was nearly $50k new off the lot for the previous owner. I got it for half of that 3 years later with 54k miles and still under warranty.

Oh yeah, they are nice. Couldn't justify $70k for one though...

    Nominations for June 2017 TOTM.........

I'll see if I can get another pic before voting ends. Good excuse to wash her this weekend. FWIW they are stock Chevy alloy 17's with the exposed bolt pattern.

If you can swing a GMT900 Burb, I highly recommend them. My '13 is light years ahead of my '97 hoe and '06 TrailBlazer.

    Thinking about selling..

Around here it would be listed for double that $8k and probably sell for closer to $10-$14k.

Another new member with new to me 2001 Yukon XL--a Southern beauty

If fuses are good, the problem could be the actuator itself, The actuators are known to fail. I can't recall, does the rear door have an actual lock cylinder for a key? My '97 did. Does it lock with the physical turn of key, just not with the power switch?

1996 2 Door: Talk me out of it

Try and get it for $4k. With the paint being bad and the issues you mentioned. If you are really into a 2 door rig, why not go for an older K5? Maybe in Cali they cost more but in my area you can get a decent K5 that's already been lifted for $5k all day long.
