    P0332 Knock sensors code back....

Gotcha, thanks. I'll do some more research. Fingers crossed the CEL will stay out, but i have a sneaking suspicion it will come back...

    P0332 Knock sensors code back....

Hmmmm, probably not... just got them good and snug... How will this affect the way the sensors work?

    P0332 Knock sensors code back....

Yeah, replaced both sensors and harnesses. And yes, i did the work and did the RTV dam trick. I'd be surprised if water got in there...maybe, but the original sensors took 13 years to go bad... Could there be some glitchyness in the ECU? That's where the KS's plug in...right?

    P0332 Knock sensors code back....

About 6 months ago i replaced the knock sensors and harnesses in my '06 Tahoe. This cleared the code and the truck has been running fine. Actually it ran fine before the replacement, but i wanted to clear the CEL. Well, the CEL popped again and it's the same P0332 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low...

    Knock sensors

I have an '06, but i'm sure the engines are very similar. I replaced the knock sensors about a year ago and if i can do it anyone can...OK, maybe not my brother in law, but not too hard.. Time consuming but not too hard. There are several youtube videos on how to do the repair. Basically...

    2007 Tahoe Z71 w/ 200k+ Road Trip?

I've taken my '06 Tahoe, 205K miles, from Alaska to Michigan and back. 5000 miles each way. Not a whimper or stumble. Pleasure to drive.

Is my charging system working right?

Yeah, we have done the Alaska Highway 8-9 times over the past 11 years. It's a great trip... lots of wildlife, beautiful scenery. Do it sometime - you won't regret it!

Is my charging system working right?

Thanks HHS! I'm sure it's been that way forever and i just noticed it. Lots of time to think about stuff on a long road trip.

Is my charging system working right?

2006 Tahoe, 200k miles. I'm a little over halfway thru a a long road trip - Alaska to Michigan, about 4500 miles. I look at the voltmeter and most of the time it's a needle width above the "14" - this is the normal reading. Several times a day i'll notice the meter is indicating about 2...

OK, what is this and what does it do?

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll hit it with some air and see if that quiets it down. I'm having a few electrical gremlins that may or may not be connected. A few days ago I noticed the noise coming from the AC aspirator fan that I asked about above. I also noticed a whine thru the radio...

OK, what is this and what does it do?

2006 Tahoe. This little button is in the roof of the truck above the rear seat. It's making a noise like a fan motor and I can't seem to control it... so what is it and what does it do? Thanks!

New knock sensors and now no start...

I thought I'd give a little review of my experience replacing knock sensors in the event someone does a search in the future. As I stated earlier, I am no mechanic. Fairly handy but not a lot of experience. I watched several YouTube videos and figured I could do this. Especially after...

New knock sensors and now no start...

Thanks. And yes, my OBD scanner is in my center console. Just for grins I thought I'd show a pic of the old sensors next to the new ones.

New knock sensors and now no start...

That's exactly what happened. And yes, I'm a dumbass. I'd surely starve if I had to make a living as a mechanic!

New knock sensors and now no start...

OK, figured it out, cleared the codes and it started right up. Sorry to bother y'all!

New knock sensors and now no start...

2006 Tahoe, 5.3. I got a CEL a few months back that the knock sensors were a pending code. Replaced them today and now the truck won't start. I'm getting the following codes. P0068 Powertrain P0107 Manifold Pressure/Barometric Pressure circuit low input P0332 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low...

    Spare removal

When I got my '06 the same thing had happened to the previous owner. He cut off the "ears" of the piece that spans across the hole in the spare. Replacing that part was cheaper than replacing the cable assembly. Just a suggestion... As a side thought... Many new cars come with a can of...

    17 powertrain into 03 tahoe

Thanks. Even in the same OBD generation, i think ScottyBoy has it right... there will be a lot of electronics that will not play nice together.

What year did the electrics go from OBD I to OBD II?

    Let's see your keys

I think the reason the guy gave you crap about a heavy keychain is because the weight may cause the key to rotate in the ignition. If it's heavy enough it may bounce and rotate the key to the off position while you're driving. Not good. As an aside... our son-in-law has a Jeep Grand Cherokee...

    Might as well say hello...

Welcome! I'm down in Soldotna and we just got our first skiff of snow today. Good looking truck. And yes, the drive up the Alaska Highway is beautiful!

    School me on knock sensors

Thanks guys, so is this something i need to get on right away? Will it leave me stranded if i don't fix it now?

    School me on knock sensors

2006 Tahoe, 5.3, ~200,000 miles. A couple of months ago the CEL came on and the code told me knock sensors. I used a Torque Pro and my smart phone to get the code. Cleared the code and it came back about a week later. The truck runs fine, good gas mileage, no weird noises. I've probably put...

looking to buy my first ever GMT800

As you know the '07 is the new model year for the NNBS, and personally i would not buy a new model year - too many growing pains. If you want a NNBS i'd look at '09 or newer. I'm quite happy with my '06. I think you're right on track with finding a good '05 or '06.
