yea at this point I don't even slide the thing back. I have a few things stored away for "long term storage" like my registration papers and stuff in there...other than that it's pretty pointless for my family.
We've had our 22 highcountry Tahoe for a month now. The sliding console is never used....I played around with it, but that's about all. The rear emergency braking...it's never kicked in. I guess I need figure out a way to test it lol. As for the RSE it's hard to beat tablets...even if you have...
It's funny you posted this...I literally just figured that out tonight. With all the talk recently on the sliding console we were out for an errand run and I was waiting in the car on my wife to finish up something and I messed around with it. I thought it actually broke when I slid it forward...
I've had my 22 HighCountry for ~3 weeks now....I think we've moved that console 4 times...just playing with it.m By far the most comfortable "arm rest" position is with it moved all the way forward. Also if you have kiddos in the 2nd row, even in carseats, moving the console back fully gives...
Yea...for sure not a road trip vehicle....especially if you have a family! The steering was absolutely crazy. I felt like I was zig zagging all the way down the road...especially speeds above 60mph. I didn't expect it to be whisper quite, but with that Sky 1-touch retractable top and the knobby...
I live in Arkansas so it was put on a truck and drove straight here. It took 2 days after it left the Naval Base. They had 1 other dealership to stop at, then delivered it to the one I made the purchase from.
I agree...I've had my 2022 HighCountry for a few weeks now and only used the sliding console a few times, mostly just playing with it. Other than the "hidden" storage area I don't see much use in it. I would be surprised if mine gets moved much at all......I also have 2 toddlers in the 2nd row...
We had the pearl white on our 2015ltz...only down fall is we needed to replace the front right fender after the wife got in a fight with an ATM pole..in her defense they were doing construction at the bank and had temporarily moved the ATM....anyways matching that pearl was impossible and we...
Let me add to the conversation and throw in "Top Tier Fuel" as recommend by the manual. A few select companies apparently add detergents to their fuel to help it burn cleaner and remove deposits. You can find a list of stations at https://www.toptiergas.com/ In my neck of the woods it's mostly...
Has anyone ever done the math/comparison on the following:
Duramax - Sure, gets better MPG, but diesel is also more expensive than gas. Does the increased MPG offset the increased MPG for gas? Now..not a debate on any of the other benefits of diesel, just curious of MPG only.
6.2l - Like...
Quick sudo introduction/back story. We had originally owned a 2015ltz and sold it back in October (2021) to buy what my wife considered (at the time lol) her favorite vehicle a 2021 Jeep Rubicon. Well....after having it for a few months we quickly figured it out it's not the best family vehicle...
I own a 2019 5.3l TrailBoss (Truck) and a 2022 HighCountry with the 6.2l. I know it's not an apples to apples comparison with different weights and transmissions...etc, but the HighCountry hands down can get out of it's own way much quicker than the truck. I also owned a 2015 Tahoe LTZ with the...
Had same thing occur on my 2022 highcountry. I found this in the owners manual - "Speed Sign : Shows sign information, which comes from a roadway database in the onboard navigation system, if equipped. The sign will show “− −” when offline maps are unavailable". If you go into Google...
I just brought home a 22 High Country a few days ago.....I was lucky to catch one in transit and secure it with a deposit. I paid MSRP, which once again lucky as around here anything with a 5.3 is 5k over and the 6.2's is 10k over. There was a dealer 2 hours north that wasn't playing that game...
Yea....and it's a really weird "vibration"....I hear it coming from passenger side, and my wife in the passenger seat hears it coming from driver side. I've swapped back and forth and can confirm neither of us are going crazy!
I've tried moving around the focal point....doesn't help. One theory...
It's been a few days now and everything is still going good, but I am hearing some "vibration" sounds coming from the front two dash speakers. It's not that the are vibrating, but I believe the BOSE noise cancelling system is acting up. I need to identify either how to turn it off, or snip the...
Alright...let me try to document out the steps it took to complete the install. I have some pictures to include along the way. You can do this...it's not too hard. Set aside 4-6 hours. Get all of our equipment ready. See my setup below

I'm pretty impressed with a single 12. Of course I only have it turned up 1/2 way to let the sub break in for a week or so. It moved enough air to pull the neighbors out from across the street last night to see "what the hell was going on"! We don't haul a ton of stuff, but when needed a few...
The install is complete! It took about 4.5 hours yesterday afternoon/evening. A few key takeaways to add to what I mentioned above.
1. My original amp kit (Scosche Amp Wiring Kit) came with 16.5ft of power cable....this isn't going to be enough! You need a minimum of 20ft. I discovered this...
The Amp and Sub came in today...I'm not sure if I'll attempt the install this weekend, or wait until next. I'm guessing around 6 hours to get a clean looking install with cables nice and tidy. I have 16ft of power cable, but not sure that will be enough after I run it across the front, down...
I I captain....good information! Next question is how do I disable the mic's? Will it be pretty obvious on the feedback part?...and yes I do have the 10 speaker bose system.
Oh....I was thinking to grab signal in the front, either from the back of the head unit or the harness on the amp. I've not done a ton of research yet...is the amp in the rear as you stated above? Is it okay to grab signal post amp, or should I get it pre?
LGSONE - Thanks! Just got done running through your thread. Do you know if they tied into the signal near the amp (below console) or if they did it behind the stereo deck?
