2017 Suburban 125K Service Questions, Advice, DIY

My AC went out a few weeks ago. Called the local garage that has done much quality work for me in the past. He knew the problem immediately. Condenser leak. Replaced condenser with aftermarket without plastic fittings. He said he’s replaced many of them. $700. Works great.

i had the same question when I oredered mine. I ended up calling and found out it wasn't listed on the website. This was the rear kit that I ordered (2" rather than 1.5" that I mentioned in my prior post.) The bracket came with the kit. 2" Autoride Rear - SMX15200M

    Lifted with Auto Ride

I finished mine this weekend too, but you got off cheaper than I did. I went with the 2.5" / 2" from suspension maxx. I also installed the rear shock extenders and autoride brackets. The rear was more involved than I thought, but nothing terrible. My front is now at 38.75"and the rear is...

    Lifted with Auto Ride

2.5" Front - SMXGM725 2" Autoride Rear - SMX15200M Rear Shock extender - SMXHDSKEX Currently, my front fender is 36" off the ground and my rear quarter is 37". I'm hoping this combination will decrease the rake to .5" I want it to look level or very slightly higher in the back.

    Lifted with Auto Ride

I ordered my kit from suspension maxx. I talked to several shops who told me they didn't know of a product that would lift the rear and keep the auto ride intact. Larry at suspension maxx was easy to deal with and knew exactly what I needed. It's scheduled to arrive via UPS today. I have an SLT...

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

I had a chance to look under it tonight. I found the sensor in the rear, it I don't have it in the front. I found another of your threads that has pics of the front sensor. I don think I have it. As you suggested in your other thread, I'll either get the connectors from FTS or get allthread. I...

Tom squad, Does your LTZ have the rear airride (autolevel air shock suspension)? I'm wondering if the rear leveling kit works with it. Thanks

I read through all pages and didn't find anything about using 2.5"/1.5" level on airride equipped vehicles. I have a 2015 Yukon SLT with air ride / auto ride. I see that the suspensionmaxx system comes with brackets for magneride on the Denali, but i didn't see anything about airride. Has...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed the transmission fluid/filter and added a transmission drain plug. The most difficult part was draining the fluid without a drain plug. I was going to post a pic, but need to figure out how to do it.

Walt, I tried to find some reviews on this, including pricing but found no info. Is this new? On the market? I tried to call, but it's Saturday so no answer. Tregs

    Radiator leak

Hmmm. Interesting. I'm just out of warranty at 40k. I don't have any leaks, but I'm now thinking about replacing the thermostat with the new one mentioned in the bulletin above in hopes of avoiding a bigger problem later. It looks easy to get to.

    Headlights off while in gear?

I went out and messed with this since I want to be able to idle through crowded neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights without the headlights on. I'm able to put the truck in drive then move the switch to off, then move it to the parking lamp position and turn on the fogs. Headlights are...

Intruckdesign, Thanks for your help. Last question. It says you can't use factory wheels. Is it because the modifications drive the need to change the back spacing? Thanks again

Thanks for the info. I have an SLT so there's no magneride, but I was trying to avoid cutting. Did you have to trim it so much that you can't go back to stock if desired? Can you add a leveling kit up from to eliminate the rake? Thanks for your help.

How do you like the 4" fab tech kit? Did it change the road manners? Did you install it? Most of the reviews say that is bolt in, but some say you have to do some cutting. I've been looking at installing one of these kits.

    Homemade lift

i put a 3" body lift on a 2001. It may not be exactly the same for a 99, but FWIW, this is what I did (from what I remember) - body spacers - brake line extensions. The brake lines in the engine compartment are bolted to the body. Under the truck, they are bolted to the frame. You need a...

    Cross bars - got em?

Got 'em. Use 'em. I like them. I had them on my old suburban and couldn't live without them. However, I wish they had some type of loop to secure tie downs.

    Should I renew Onstar?

During my trial period, I only used the free stuff, so I dropped it. Now, I just use the remote start and the "send to in dash nav" option. Actually, my wife sends it to the screen from the passenger seat. In fact, we were out with some friends when the screen suddenly downloaded directions to...

    Not a normal abs issue

I used Module Masters a few years ago when I got an ABS light on my 2001. I pulled the module and sent it in to Module Masters. If I remember right, they guaranteed proper function and that the light would go out. It worked for me. This may not work for you since you already have a rebuilt...

Camera Source video in motion unlock

This looks like the "unlock module" (T Harness) that MVI and a few others offer. I was considering it, but decided against it after watching some threads on this forum. I'll try to post the link to the thread. see if this works http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/video-in-motion.75259/page-4
