    New 2018 Yukon Denali

I received the factory all-weather mats as part of my deal on a 2018 Denali. They look good and work great. Fit is perfect. I don't know what they cost, since it was rolled into my deal with a bunch of future oil changes, but I know that my wife likes them, so they made her happy.

Denali 6.2 owners , and Tahoe Rst 6.2 please post your MPGs and contribute by posting here..

2018 Denali. I get 24mpg on my 30-mile trip to work IF I set cruise control to 72mph. If I do not use cruise control, I get about 20mpg with my speed somewhere near 72-75mph. City driving it gets 17mpg, but the fastest I drive is 55mph between the small towns around me. The 6.2 is vastly...

Would you buy your Yukon or Tahoe again?

I vote for repeat buys of GM products, even though I had two lemons and several duds in the early 80's. Went through Hondas that I loved, BMW's that were fabulous till you needed a part post-warranty, then got a 2008 Vette that was trouble-free from day 1, influencing me to buy a new 2010 Tahoe...

My 2018 new tahoe low mpgs please post your mpgs to compare

Drive it for 30 miles at 70mph on cruise control. It should get 20+mpg. Mine gets 25 easily. Once you get up to speed, reset the dic to zero on Trip A of the trip meter. If this doesn't get you numbers above 20mpg, something is wrong.

Using Rebate on 2018 Yukon-Finance Question for Forum

jp- If you send additional money to your bank, you should specify that you want the additional funds used to reduce the Principal. This will reduce the payoff amount that you owe, effectively reducing the number of months owed on your loan. Your extreme example may or may not cover the actual...

Extend my warranty past 36,000 or Not??

My take: I generally know what simple things cost when they fail, and have had enough failures between my Impala/Z28/Corvette/Tahoe to know that yes, the simple things fail, usually immediately after my warranty expires. Simple things to me are heated/cooled seats @ $1k repair, Magnetic Ride...

Using Rebate on 2018 Yukon-Finance Question for Forum

I talked to my old Texas sales manager about this. He said that most folks understand that they have to accept GM Financial to get the car. However, most that have credit scores above 700 also refinance immediately if they can get a better rate. Considering the fact that I can get a 2.5% versus...

Eliminating Auto Start/Stop-How to keep from voiding warranty?

Folks, If I hook up the auto start/stop bypass switch currently on the market that connects to the hood-open switch of the vehicle, and drive with the auto start/stop switch disabled, can the dealer's tech determine that I have previously had this bypass switch installed, voiding my warranty? I...

    2018 Denali Adaptive Cruise Control

I have used my new Denali's adaptive cruise on the NC highways enough to know that I like it. IF I place it on the shortest range setting. When I see in the heads-up display that my speed is starting to be reduced, that cues me that it is time to accelerate and pass the geezer dawdling in the...

Do the 2018 models have the booming/buffeting/vibration issues?

My 2010 Tahoe LTZ with factory roof racks always sounded like a windstorm was impacting the rear roof of the truck around 70mph. If I moved the roof rails around, I eventually found a good combination of rail locations and didn't hear the noise. 2018 Denali has rails but no crossbars and is quiet.

Thinking about purchasing a 2016 Tahoe z71, questions.

Just traded my 2010 Tahoe with 143,000 miles for a 2018 Yukon. The only troubles I had with the Tahoe was the dash crack problem that era was known for, and the air-ride suspension compressor craps out every few years. Change the oil and fluids regularly and they just keep on truckin. I used a...

Using Rebate on 2018 Yukon-Finance Question for Forum

Hello folks, I just purchased a 2018 Yukon Denali from my local dealer. Traded in my 2010 Tahoe after almost 9 years of great service. The web shows the details of accepting the Rebate, which amounts to 9% off MSRP. In addition to the 9% off MSRP, the dealer reduced the price another $2,493 and...

    2010 Tahoe TPMS adventure

Hello folks, My 2010 Tahoe Tire Pressure sensors started to die one by one this past summer. My selling dealer only sells parts at retail, and I really didn't want to pay $350+ or buy unknown brand Ebay cheapies to replace all four of the TPMS sensors, so I contacted www.gmpartscenter.net and...

2010 Tahoe w/Heated & Cooled Seats-Driver's Seat No Cool or Heat

Hello folks, Seems like I found a couple dozen posts and U-Tube posts about my problem 201 Tahoe Seat Heater/Cooler issue, but nothing specific to my problem, so thought I would ask here. My Tahoe's passenger side heated & cooled seat works fine. When on high heat, the cooling fan can be heard...

    Electronic Pedals slowed me down.

That would make sense, except I could never get the damn thing to kick down a gear unless I planted my foot into the carpet. It will now do kick-downs at half-throttle, and drop down two gears if pushed to the floor. It wouldn't do that before. I assumed either a switch was moved or a wire had...

    Electronic Pedals slowed me down.

Although I bought the Tahoe new in 2010, I played with the electronic gas & brake pedals on the dealer's lot, then promptly forgot about them. Yesterday, I decided to install a holster for my 1911 Colt .45, and figured I would just move the gas pedal with the switch to gain some elbow room. I...

Tilt Wheel Stuck in UP position-How to fix?

A whack with a ball-peen hammer to the top of a steel drift punch "fixed" the problem. It appeared to be a lack of lubrication that froze the two metal pieces together. WD-40 took care of the problem afterwards. I figure that this doesn't happen much, given the lack of similar problems found...

Which years 5.3 liter engine affected by O-Ring failure?

Anyone know which specific years the 5.3 Liter engines were affected by the disintegrating O-Ring at the oil pump suction connection? I assume that GM corrected this problem eventually, but figured I would rather be safe than sorry. If mine falls in the "bad" years, I'll change it out next time...

How did everyone else deal with the cracked dash?

I started using an expandable windshield shade to keep heat off of the dash over a year ago, once my second dashboard had been replaced in 2015. The first dash replacement didn't last a year before it cracked. So far, the second dash replacement looks brand new, no cracks. Texas heat is a...

Switching from 2WD to Auto or 4WD -Supposed to get a message?

Hello folks, My 2010 Tahoe has the trailer package and the transfer case switch dial to the left of the steering wheel beside the light control dial. I have seen a few threads that mention a warning or DIC notice indicating that you have switched from 2WD to AUTO or 4WD High, but mine does...

The good stuff, right in front of us

The doors on the Tahoe have weep holes to keep water from building up inside and rusting out the door skins. At least 2 drain holes exist. One is at the very corner edge of the doors, and is a small weep hole, easily plugged up. Right beside the weep hole is a rubber grommet plug that holds the...

Normal Oil Pressure when Cold & Hot?

Thank you for the link. I see your name amongst those discussions. This forum has enlightened me about the evils that can arise from the AFM/DOD system, so I now check my oil level and pressure more often than every fill-up. Reading the tales of those who had their CEL come on and found the...
