Wider wireless charging console lid.
The charging pad changed in 2018, but you can buy a retrofit directly from GM that will directly replace the '15-'17 consoles' pad. Part number 84526978- lsorah0001

Metra Dash kit quality, or lack thereof...alternatives?
I have the Metra kit in my Silverado and my radio sat way back like yours. I took a Dremel and shaved down the "lip" that the radio sits against...this allowed more room for the head unit to be pushed forward. Mine now sits exactly like I want it to.
