Ok, do the bags on the air shocks have air in them, or does it rise during initial start up?
Also might want to check your leveling vales on each side. Located on the trailing arms. Thinking if the compressor works, and the shocks get air, maybe the leveling valves aren't working properly...
Can you hear the compressor? It was noticeable during the start up on mine. Could start it up and just get under and feel if the air shocks are firm or not.
My guess is you have failing air ride shocks and or compressor. There is no way the front changes in height, but the rear could if the air ride system is failing,
I never installed the resistors. So I can't help you, I just reset my service light every time I start it up. I left everything unplugged and zip tied out of the way. I would think going the Ebay route would be better cost wise, even if they fail after a year or 2, cheaper then the bypass...

1.) Preload means the amount of pressure the strut spring is giving against the strut body itself. More preload will increase stiffness/height, and vice versa. On the bilstien design it will increase the lift by increasing preload.

Yeah I added them for towing, as I haul a 10k lb dump trailer and my 32ft camper (6000lbs) on a regular basis. I'd say if you don't tow, then skip that part. But the one time you hook up to something, and if it's heavy you'll wish you had them, ass down, face up.

Honestly I'd look at the shop for replacement. They screwed up and over tightened that nut, which made the rod snap.
Of course they don't want to replace it. It eats up their profit. Not your problem though.

I have the Z71 springs in the rear, with 5100's but 1 in longer stroke than oem.
Stock springs w 80k mi. on the struts, 2nd rung on the 5100's also. I run the 2.5 CCM top of strut spacer as well. Had an alignment done after the shop swapped my struts.

I used the Mcpherson 2 piece strut compressor clamps (rent from local auto store) the first go round. This time I'm having a shop do it with their strut machine.
