    Z55 Delete on my 04 Yukon XL, 8.1ltr, 4x4

I just unplugged mine. I found a thread on here with directions on how to reset everything. Have never had an error code.

    Best quality rear bumper?

Aren't the Silverado/Sierra bumpers too wide?

    Tech2Win can't correct inaccurate speedometer !?

IIRC the Tech2/T2W tire size input is used for ABS calibration. I ended up buying a used Hypertech programmer for my Suburban just to correct the speedo. Does sound like you have a bad stepper.

Somebody really needs to buy this 2500 Burb

Ours is former FBI as well. Very well taken care of mechanically, but did have the couple mounting holes, etc. Luckily I had most of the pieces laying around to swap stuff out. If I was in the market for another I wouldn't hesitate if I found out it was ex-FBI or probably other government...

Lifts for 2500 Subs or Yukon XLs...what am I missing?

2" will clear the studs. Some have had to cut the ends of the studs with the 1.5" spacers.

New paint, no trim, no badges. What's next?

I agree, leave everything off. (That's how our 2500 Suburban is now too). I would keep the grille you have too. The Denali front end looks good, but only as a whole (grille insert, shell, lights, and bumper). I wouldn't add just the grille insert.

    Will a 2500HD Sierra/Silverado Body Mounts fit on a 2005 2500 YUKON XL?

You can look on the Duramax forums for a guy named Skippie. He makes and sells a 2" tapered lift that is used for duramax swaps so that you get 2" lift in the front to fit the cooling stack, HD front end, etc., but no gap at the rear to fill in or need to lift the bumper like you would with a...

Lifts for 2500 Subs or Yukon XLs...what am I missing?

Look up OE Wheels. They have replicas of some of the newer wheels (the 5 spokes for sure) that are the right bolt pattern for our trucks.

Lifts for 2500 Subs or Yukon XLs...what am I missing?

To clarify, that is on the trucks, not the Suburban or Yukon XL. They stayed 8x165.1 (or 6.5 inches).

Best option for body color HD grill?

They don't make them ready to paint. You will have to smooth and paint.

    HD Hood Swap

Mine has been sitting in my shed for a couple years. Stock hood is rusting now at the front edge so I can't procrastinate any more. I think next spring will be a major transformation for my Suburban, especially now that it is no longer my wife's DD, it can be down for a little while to get...

    Suburban 2500 search is frustrating

Wheels can be adapted but will need spacer/adapters, minimum of 1.5" and that generally requires trimming your studs, 2" will clear (check legality in your state). Or you can buy them in the correct bolt pattern from OE Wheels.

    Suburban 2500 search is frustrating

OE Wheels makes those wheels in the correct bolt pattern for the 2500 Suburbans (originally they are the wrong bolt pattern, 2011+ is different on the trucks, but the Suburban/Yukon XL kept the old bolt pattern)

    Suburban 2500 search is frustrating

With the prices people are asking maybe I should list mine with a crazy price and see if anyone bites.

Show off your exterior lighting mods

You need to replace the DRL socket with a 3 wire socket like the turn signal/parking light. Then basically tie the wiring together for both bulbs. You need to put diodes on the DRL power wire, and parking light power wire to prevent the parking lights from being on at all times.

Front wheels toe in under power... a lot!

Tie rod sleeves are not going to change anything. They will not flex to the point that would give you 3" change in toe, they would be permanently bent. Have you ruled out worn components? It sure seems like maybe bad pitman or idler arm (or both). Jack up one side and try to turn the wheel...

    1500 VS 2500 Frame

Not on the 2500 Suburban. The 2500 Suburban in more like the 1500HD Silverado, rail height is the same as the 1500. The suspension is different, which means it has mounts for leaf springs in the rear, and I believe there is a body mount or two that are different, but you can make a 1500 body...

Cat eyes, and front end swaps

It would be built for mexican sale. Almost all (or maybe all) were built in Mexico. If your VIN begins with 3A through 3W it was built there.

    Front blower motor not working.

Try the resistor. Just replaced our resistor (AC Delco on Amazon was $33 I think). Had a leak from the cowl that went down into the blower box and corroded the resistor. Replaced it and sealed panel above fresh air intake and all is good now except for high speed. I'm wondering if the motor...

    Moog ball joints?

I did a full front end rebuild last year using Moog parts. I had no such issues. I did replace the whole upper arm (only a few $ more than the joint, and you get new bushings too). The lower joint was not any harder than any other ball joint I have done, just used a rental tool from the local...

Was there a police silver, an actual silver silver?

Our Suburban is Silver Birch Metallic and was an FBI vehicle. Look at the RPOs to be sure.

    Changed to Escalade vent caps.

Black is definitely the way to go on light colored trucks. Having a colormatched bright pillar back there just looks out of place. I will be keeping an eye out for some black pieces.
