    The intercooler? Wouldn't do it. It would from a barrier between the air and the metal you're trying to cool down. Would kind of defeat the purpose of taking out the grill.

    I would go ahead and change out the torque converter and whatever other seals are accessible while the transmission is pulled to get more life out of your transmission. Also the torque converter will shave almost a whole second off of the quarter time (.7 seconds). That's just me though. Lol.....
