Can I use the “better 2011” hydroboost?

Can I use the 1781036 hydroboost unit (2011 MY only 2500HD)? Supposedly this is a better unit than the others. I have seen many use it on there gmt800 Duramaxes, just wondering if anyone has done it on a Tahoe or Yukon? Sounds like you’d just have to enlarge the hole to fit. My truck (05...

    Already changed the mode door....

Good luck! Mine still gets stuck on one mode every once in a while but always fixes itself the next start lol. I had the evap code, ended up dropping the tank because the all the lines were packed with charcoal pellets all the way up to the purge lol.

    Already changed the mode door....

Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the one that requires dash removal is for recirculation. The mode one definitely does not. I just replaced that one not long ago.

Just used my tool after a tire rotation yesterday. Worked perfectly again. I did notice the 9 volt battery has to go in “backwards,” the friggin + and - are labeled wrong on the tool lol

    Key fob low message reset

I got the key low battery message yesterday on the DIC. Replaced battery. Still got the message after several trips and trying a (tested) new battery. Found another forum to turn the key to on and press unlock button on the fob when the message comes up, seems to have done the trick. Strange...

New GM ISS = more slop?

When I did mine I replace the “bearing” (plastic thing) also. The first one I got was junk and worse than the old one, it actually fell apart. Replaced again and it was good to go.

Window regulator brands that aren’t junk

What do you guys use for window regulator/motors assembly in the gmt800s. Right rear window died yesterday. First one to die on this truck at 201k. Rock auto doesn’t seem to offer GM or AC Delhi for RR. Aisin stuff is usually good. Would it be worth the $90 vs $36 for “whatever name”...
