2016 Chevy Tahoe Police Package Suspension Questions

I had this same problem with my '13.....super harsh ride. Same with my '17, but I'm not screwing with it until the warranty is expired. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to soften the ride up. Buy a set of four Bilstein 5100 shocks, and swap those in for the factory shocks. Job done. You'll...

PPV / SSV / Admin Package Owners - What do you Think?

Lots of Whelen. Controller is a Cencom Carbide, dual 100W siren, Ions on the side, front, and rear, with an Outer Edge on the top of the front and back.

PPV / SSV / Admin Package Owners - What do you Think?

I haven't had a chance to get some "professional" pictures, but here's a short clip from an incident I was on last week. '17 PPV with factory 17" wheels and a Ranch Hand brush guard. Vehicle is an unmarked "slick top," with all lighting hidden or minimally visible. Lights and Sirens are...

    PPV with Non-PPV Wheels

Right, I get that - I'm just trying to see what they actually look like before I pull the trigger on buying any. That's a good tip on the re-calibrator, thank you!

    PPV with Non-PPV Wheels

These are the wheels that come with what many Dealerships call the “admin package,” which is a PPV with a factory console and alloy wheels rather than the black ones.

PPV / SSV / Admin Package Owners - What do you Think?

I completely forgot about this thread - all the emergency gear has been added, I'll give her a bath and take some pictures for you all.

    PPV with Non-PPV Wheels

For anyone wondering, this is the PPV with the LS wheels:

    PPV with Non-PPV Wheels

You mean this kind? I've seen these on what our department calls the "admin package." They look alright, I'm still looking to see what others have done as well!

    PPV with Non-PPV Wheels

Hello Everyone, I have a 2017 PPV. It's my personal vehicle, utilized with FD activity. It is set up as a slick-top vehicle, with no externior markings or lighting. The black PPV wheels are a bit too "police-ish" for my liking, and I'm looking to see what other options look like on the PPV...

2017 Tahoe - Under Performing Sound with Factory Head unit + Aftermarket Speakers

Ok, so I think we've covered the "be careful when testing electronics aspect." Back to the topic at hand. The impedence for the factory non-bose door speakers is 4 ohms. The factory non-bose head unit puts out ~15W per channel, 30W max. This means that most aftermarket speakers will...

2017 Tahoe - Under Performing Sound with Factory Head unit + Aftermarket Speakers

I measured the impedance on the factory non-bose speakers this morning. 4 ohms.

2017 Tahoe - Under Performing Sound with Factory Head unit + Aftermarket Speakers

Everyone, I had a friend with a multimeter test his factory rear non-bose speakers.....they're 4 ohm (well, 3.8). So it looks like the factory amp just isn't near powerful enough to handle the bigger magnets on these aftermarket speakers.

2017 Tahoe - Under Performing Sound with Factory Head unit + Aftermarket Speakers

Is the impedance the same between the bose speakers and non Bose speakers? The Bose system has a factory amp so it could be different.

2017 Tahoe - Under Performing Sound with Factory Head unit + Aftermarket Speakers

Hello All, I have a 2017 Tahoe PPV with the 8" Radio + Navigation. No Bose, the car has 6 speakers: 2 Tweeters by the A Pillar 2 6x9s in the Front Doors 2 6.5" round in the Rear Doors As we all know, the factory speakers have itty bitty magnets and paper cones. I made the following changes...

Order Arrived with No Documentation, None Online Either

Update: It's been over a month, no response from Vanquish in any form or fashion. No e-mail, no phone call, nothing.

    2016 Tahoe HID Headlight Conversion

I ordered a kit for my 2017 PPV, waited a month to hear a response from Vanquish requesting a manual / guide of any kind, and never heard anything back from them - even on their own forum! So, after a month I begrudgingly went ahead and installed them. It's straightforward enough to install...

    2016 Tahoe HID Headlight Conversion

Yep, I emailed them as well. Email, phone, web chat, and a message here and in their own subforum. No response. I see how to install it, it's pretty straight forward, but it shouldn't be this difficult to get any documentation from the vendor.

Order Arrived with No Documentation, None Online Either

Nothing! I haven't heard ANYTHING from Vanquish, despite multiple attempts to contact them via email, phone, the chat on their website, and here. So....3 weeks later, no updates.

    2016 Tahoe HID Headlight Conversion

Phone went to voicemail, no response on chat. I'll try again tomorrow. I just thought they'd send something with it, even if it was just to verify that they sent the right parts!

    2016 Tahoe HID Headlight Conversion

UPDATE: I ordered one of the Vanquish HID kits, and it arrived without any documentation, install guides, or a manual. I'm sure I could figure it out, but I'm not going to put my car's electrical system at risk with no documentation. Does anyone have a copy of their install guide or the manual...

Order Arrived with No Documentation, None Online Either

Hello, My HID order arrived today with no paperwork, receipt, manual, install guide, or.....anything for that matter. Just a box full of equipment and nothing else. I went to your website and found that the vast majority of your "install guides" are not linked online. Please post the...

    Anyone ordering an 2018 PPV

I walked out the door with my 2017 PPV for $34k. Sticker was ~$47k I believe. -$5k for the PPV package, -$7k for "Competitive Bid Discount".....basically what they give government agencies to keep the car competitive with the Ford's pricing and others, I suppose.

    Tahoe PPV Tires

Agreed, those Continental tires do a good job for half the price of the RS-A's. Unless you're doing pursuit responses above 100 mph regularly, you don't really need the RS-A's.

    Tahoe PPV Tires

I strongly recommend the Bilstein 5100 Series shocks. They still allow the truck to handle well, but take to crappy road conditions much better. My factory PPV suspension gave me back problems, and so we put the 5100 shocks in....problem solved. You need two of each of these...

    2016 Tahoe HID Headlight Conversion

Any additional feedback from users of the Vanquish kit? Also, is an install manual available? The manual is not available on their website.
