been a while - airbags on AWD ??

Havent been on here for a long time. The Denali has been beaten down as a family hauler for years now. Almost 200k miles and going. I think its time to have some real fun with it. I want to bag it. Can you guys show me the way? I know people have done it but have they kept the AWD? I cant...

    2/3 or 2/4 drop

They aren't bump stops. They are jounce bumpers and part of the suspension. If you do a spindle drop, the arms stay right where they are and it rides the same

    05 Denali Front end Rebuild

The biggest pain is pressing the lower ball joints out. Make sure you have the proper press first. Buy a kit that comes with the upper arms and everything will go really easy. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

    Transmission noise

I took the inspection plug off to look inside. I did feel around in there but didn't find anything. Reading through the comments on that video i saw a suggestion to feed an inspection cam up there and get a better look. I don't have one but i ordered one to see if i can get a better look at the...

I thought about that but using my stethoscope the sound is most certainly coming from inside the bell housing. I'm trying to upload a video but it's taking forever

    Transmission noise

2004 yukon Denali. 15k on a rebuilt lq4 182k on the original trans(still shifts like new) Long story short. The Denali started making a random noise while at idle. It's louder when it warms up. From outside the truck it sounds faintly like marbles are bouncing around in it. Under it is a bit...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

they should be barely touching. They add a progressive feel to the suspension. the more they are compressed, the harder it gets.

    Chirping noise coming from engine

I know you said you removed the belts and it still did it but I know this sound. I trouble shot mine for a whole weekend. Your power steering pulley isn't aligned to the rest. as the belt comes off the ribbed pulley of the PS pump and across the water pump it has to "scoot" over to align with...

any other fun hobbies or interest?

Thanks. Built it from an all original early iS. Won a few shows and daily drove it. sold it a while back. Hate that I did because it was such a clean early model but i get bored and move on a lot.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The only things that I'm aware of that can vary is the transmission pan. Everything else should be identical.

What is this? Have looked everywhere online. Oil cooler?

Looks aftermarket. Not sure but my 04 had the oil cooler integrated into the radiator.

    oil catch can

I understand this. The only reason I was surprised was that when I replaced my lq4 at 170k I had zero valve coking or any signs of pcv problems. One of our other cars is direct injected and boosted and I keep it cleaned out regularly but have been looking into a catch can for it.
