Good morning folks,
So my front right hand axle seal has been leaking. It's been oozing from the 6 bolt flange (Photo #1, cv axle removed, flange only) between the axle and cv axle shaft. It's an '02 Yukon XL Denali AWD. The boots are worn on the cv axle so that's completely out as I'm...
Hey guys,
I've been wanting to replace my fog lights with a set of LED fog lights but I'm having trouble finding anything that would essential be a direct replacement without having to modify the new lights or existing mounting bracket. Has anyone done this with they're yukon denali before...
I have a hopkins smart hitch system. Its on my license plate but it doesn't look bad at all. Great for hooking up to a trailer by myself. And making sure no one is behind me (I have three kids).
So I've been riding out this misfire lately. I haven't had time to work on the truck (We just moved and have 3 kids so its been a bit crazy).
Brought the truck in for an oil change to a newer mechanic. I've been going to him for about 6 months now. I ditched my old mechanic after he jerked...
I won't have time to pull the O2's and test the back pressure for a week or so. Too much going on with my professional engineering exam at the end of the week and moving into a new house this weekend. Good thing is the new house has a two car garage [emoji106] It'll be getting some good use.
I ordered some Aero Kroil on Amazon to help free up the O2 sensors. I'm gonna buy a back pressure gauge to test my cats.
If I had one clogged cat, wouldn't the misfire only happen on one side? What are the odds that both cats are plugged?
Initial fuel pressure spike with KOEO was 57psi for a second or two before quickly settling off at 52 psi.
Idle fuel pressure fluctuated between 49-50 psi.
Fuel pressure in drive with foot in brake at 2100 rpm approximately 55-56 psi.
I saw a YouTube video with those tests the other day. I'm itching to hookup my new gauge and check things out. I'll definitely be doing this tomorrow. Thanks man!
@SLCHOE Funny you say that. I bought a fuel pressure gauge today. I don't trust a word of the three mechanics I've previously brought the truck to. Did I mention the first one told me to ignore it?? (Wtf). Never going back to him.
I'll check fuel pressures and then I'll investigate the O2's. I...
It feels like it's missing more than at just idle. My throttle is fly by wire, not cable. I don't think I have a iac. I'm gonna look into the tps once I have a chance.
I have a coworker who has an obdII USB connector and software for a laptop. I'm gonna try and plot fuel trims and rpm and see...
I'm no impressed by the mechanics I've been to. I'll list my fuel trims in a few hours.
I did unplug the maf and it did run better for a few minutes before returning to the same drive ability issue/shudder/misfire/etc.
I've been told by one of the three other mechanics I've been to that my fuel pressure is good but I should check it myself.
I never replaced the other O2 sensor as I was told a bad sensor would throw a code.
Already cleaned the ever living crap out of the throttle body. Not sure about the PCM...
So I've been riding this out for a few months now. Still no codes. No real change to the situation. My misfire/shudder hasn't gone away and has ever so slowly felt like its been getting "worse". That might just be me being OCD.
I bought a vacuum pressure gauge after reading thru my Haynes...
I have the same issue on my 2002 yukon xl denali (6.0L). But I don't have any codes whatsoever. I have a laundry list of things that I've done. Essentially what you have listed and then some. I've brought it to three different mechanics. Ugh. Any updates?
