Everyone makes a valid point. If the bottom is clogged, it would just keep cycling the same oil and add a bad oil pressure sensor in the mix and you’d never be able to tell what’s going on. Verify oil pressure first with a pressure gauge, use mechanics stethoscope or a long pice of metal pipe...

I wouldn’t say it was done yet, just because it’s ticking. Is the noise coming from the top end or the bottom end? I understand about removing the passenger seat to get the dog house out of the way, but once you do it’s smooth sailing from there. Leave the passenger seat out if your gonna be...

Pull the oil pan and check the pan for material, if none is found, check the pickup tube to see if it's clogged or if the o-ring is worn. Dumb question, but are you relying on the gauge in the cluster or have you verified no pressure with an actual gauge?

Damn! Did you yank the engine or work on that while still in the vehicle? Either way, good job, because I certainly would just walk away from it. I have a 06 3500 express van with about 355,000 miles and I just developed a misfire. Are you going to replace the short block and reuse the accessories?

    Demon possessed heated seats!

I had this problem a couple years back. I replaced the driver side door switch/ controls and replaced the heating element. The only seat that kept coming on by itself was the drivers seat, so that helped me narrow it down. Passenger seat didn’t have any issue whatsoever. But between the two...

    DIY: Tahoe Rear Brakes

So I can confirm that some calipers are different, other than the single or dual piston. My caliper pins do not come out of the caliper, at all. The bracket slides directly over the pins and I don't know how the hell it stays in place. I confirmed this on my old caliper and the new one I just...

    AWD Shift Selector Problem

There's only two shift forks, one for high and one for low. If your engaged in one more and not the other, then yes, a shift forks could have failed, only way to know for certain is to drop that transfer case and crack it open. Also, you won't get a coffee for broken pads on a shift fork

    AWD Shift Selector Problem

Put it on Jack stands, have someone try to engage stabilatrac mode, while listening for the engagement of the transfer case. If it doesn't sound normal, or doesn't engage, the shift forks in the transfer case could be broken, not allowing it to shift in that mode. I believe their are two shift...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thanks. It wasn't even the pumps. It was the gaskets that failed, but since the pump got hot, I replaced it anyway.

    Turbo Tahoe?

Dyno goes for Max power at wot. Not really street tuned. You can achieve this on the Dyno, but most the need are time pressed to get the next customer in the door to get paid, so they cut corners. That's why I like road tuning

Check the resistance of the wires coming from the heating element. I don't know what specs are off the top of my head, but you should be able to find them online.

    Turbo Tahoe?

No problem! You have quite a few options, Ill list them out for you. Option 1: Keep your WB that you currently have now and wire it in via ac pressure switch or another stock sensor that has a 0-5v output, with a switch, so you can still use your A/C when your not logging. (cheapest route)...
