Thanks for the reply! Today I just happened to browse the DIC and found a setting that was not enabled. The Seat Position Recall option was not set to "Seat Recall On Remote" for Driver 1.
Now that I changed the setting it works as expected. I wasn't aware of the option until now. The other...
I tried a google and forum search on this but haven't found a solution.
On my 03 Tahoe, I have 2 remotes--one programmed as Driver 1 and the other Driver 2.
When the Driver 1 remote is used to unlock the vehicle, the driver seat does not move to the memory position. But the DIC shows Driver 1...
My truck was broken in to about 10 years ago, they cut a V in the driver side door right under the keyhole and unlocked the door that way. The 3rd row seats were stolen. Cops said that weekend a bunch of GM trucks were targeted in my area. I've since installed a Viper remote start which I...
I applied some weatherstrip adhesive to the front driver side strip, and the strip in the rear door where it kept falling off at. I also noticed some rust beginning to develop on the driver door. will ask for suggestions for that in a separate threat.
I also applied some weatherstrip lubricant...
Hey guys,
Is anyone interested in these wheels? I'm located in Brooklyn (zip 11234), and have boxes for shipping. It would be 2 boxes 70 lbs each. I am asking $550 locally. Thanks
Set of 4 BOSS Wheels in good condition. 6-lug wheels that look great.
Removed from my 2003 Chevy Tahoe...
Nope, it wasn't aligned prior to getting the bearings replaced. I haven't had any uneven tire wear or any issues driving straight. Honestly I haven't gotten an alignment since I've had the truck. It will be 10 years this August. I've only put about 35,000 miles on it in all that time too.
I...
True
Thanks Chris, I'll have it checked out this weekend. I spoke to my mechanic that installed everything and he said I can try getting an alignment to see if that helps.
Both front wheel bearings & hubs are brand new, one of the CV axles had to be replaced. I reluctantly had to go to Autozone for the CV axle.
Now I notice around 40MPH the steering wheel modulates left/right at times.
The wheels are correctly balanced, this issue did not happen prior to...
Yep, that's what it turned out to be. The front left is really loud, and you can feel the vibrations. The front right is also bad. The replacement parts are on the way now.
I called Cardone today to ask if their CV axles are made in China, and I was told the re-manufactured part is made in Texas but the new one is made in China.
I also wanted to know if it would be better to go with the thermoplastic vs the neoprene boot, thinking that the NYC climate might...
I'll do a better inspection this weekend. I only had a chance to take a quick look under the truck yesterday. I think I saw grease splattered on the control arms but didn't get to get close enough to touch.
If it turns out to be the CV joint, is this replacement part good quality...
I think when I got an inspection done last year the guy said there was some play in the control arm. I'll have to get it checked out.
I just watched this video and it sounds like it could be a variety of things

Hey guys,
Last weekend I noticed while accelerating in 4WD there is a thumping sound coming from the front driver's side area. It only happens when rapidly accelerating. Since I'm in NYC with a 25MPH speed limit, I haven't been able to do much testing since every corner has a traffic light, and...
I didn't have any good luck with K2 a few years ago. One side shorted out and blew a fuse. My guess is water got inside of it at the car wash. I have Spyder LEDs now and so far they're great.
I finally made some progress this weekend. On Saturday I cut a hole in the molding for the subwoofer grille and also installed some U-Seal behind the sub to stop the rattling against the body panel. I put everything back together yesterday, and also installed my Street Scene Speed Grille. Didn't...
