I figured out that it was the gmlan low speed splice connection. Dealership had removed it claiming there was a parasitic draw coming from the aftermarket radio.
Update #3: I plugged in the green wire that was hanging out in reply #4 which apparently is the low speed GMLan splice connection. Radio powered on. All is well!
Update #2: Spoke with tech iDatalink tech support and we discovered that there is no voltage on pin 13 which is supposedly what triggers the head unit to turn on. He said it should have some sort of voltage but not 12v+. I guess I’m going to take it back to the dealer in hopes that they can...
Update: Talked to the dealership and the notes pretty much said that they had a short to ground on this low reference wire at radio. So that appears to line up with what I'm seeing, but I'm still confused on how this affects the new aftermarket radios when there isn't anything on that pin on the...
While searching for something that is preventing my 2009 Suburban's radio from working I found this connector under the driver's side dash near the e-brake. There was one pin that appears to have been removed (possibly by the dealer when they were troubleshooting a parasitic battery drain issue...
I also found this connector/plug/junction under the driver's side dash. It has all green wires and the white plug in the connector appears to just be connecting all pins together. There is one green wire that appears to have been removed and was just hanging free air.
I've started a new...
I suppose it is pink/black. The wires are kind of faded, but after taking a pic with my phone and the flash on it looks more pink now. It doesn't appear to mate to anything in the GM5+ harness though on pin 5. Pins 5, 12, and 14 are empty with the pink/black not inserted on the vehicle connector...
Back Story:
A couple years ago I had the dealership investigate a parasitic battery drain on my 09 Suburban. Both batteries were dead so I bought new ones and dropped them off at the dealership so they could figure it out. They claimed they fixed it by "disconnecting something behind the dash"...
Just in case anyone reading this wants to do this mod. I ordered the Tru-Cool Max LPD47391 kit from Amazon. I didnt notice the brackets until today (install day). I was not able to locate this EAD Performance bracket mentioned by the OP except on another forum by a user taking payments via...
After installing a 2.25"/1.5" leveling kit I wasn't satisfied with the look so I bought some 2" spacers with shock extenders for the rear. (Not sure if the extenders are going to work with these shocks.) I hadn't adjusted the rear air ride links as they looked pretty damn close to the factory...
So I installed a ReadyLift 2.25/1.5 last week and it sits exactly level unloaded if not a bit of Cali lean. I adjusted the auto ride sensor but it didnt help. If I load up my tools and equipment it sags a good bit. I'd like to do a 2.5" spacer in the rear with some shock extenders like this...
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I am not finding any info on how to do this. I see a lot of talk about lengthening the links with all thread but not HOW to do it. I removed the links but the end caps do not appear to come off. I was able to twist them around the link but only with a couple...
Coming soon. It took me all day as I started on the brakes then had to wait on USPS to deliver the lift, then the instructions in the ReadyLift kit were pretty crappy and in some cases incorrect. I didn't get to wash it so it's pretty nasty.
Plus I need to get some threaded rod to extend the...
I am swapping out the rotors and pads on my 09 Suburban today and thought I would go ahead and flush the brake fluid while I am at it.
I've read to use DOT3 or 4 but noticed the GM brake fluid is glycol based and most of the brake fluids at the store were DOT3/4 synthetic.
I know you...
Twins I assume? Good luck! I have 18mo twins. My only complaint is they only installed the LATCH system in the middle and passenger side seats so you have to lean in to reach the middle seat. That said there isnt much room for rear facing seats and as it ends up I would have to put them where...
As of right now I am looking at installing a ReadyLift 2.25/1.5 kit on my 09 LTZ with auto ride and the factory power steps. I found this: https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery/3772/wheel-offset-2011-chevrolet-suburban-slightly-aggressive-leveling-kit-custom-rims (anyone know...
