    2" Drop Spindles Ride Height

Hey, all. So, a few years ago, I installed 2" drop spindles on my 05 Suburban LT and de-cranked the stock keys to lower the front some more. I took before and after measurements, but have since lost them. Anyway, I want to go back to the ride height of just the spindles and stock keys. I...

    Rusty Rocker Panels DIY FiX!!!

The problem is that the rust in the rockers typically starts from the inside. Once you see paint bubble, it's pretty severe on the back side and when you start sanding on it you quickly realize the rust is pretty severe and and extends much further than expected. The only real repair is to cut...

Wow, I just read the link you posted, what a goofy setup. Never realized that's how the ZW7 shocks worked.

02 Tahoe with 2/3 drop and ZW7 Premium Ride Suspension ????????

Well, there's your answer. The shocks are filling up and raising the rear. Remove the spring spacer, reinstall your Nivomat shocks and then shorten your sensor rods until you've achieved the desired ride height. To shorten your sensor rods, remove them from the truck, pull the ball caps...

02 Tahoe with 2/3 drop and ZW7 Premium Ride Suspension ????????

Hold up, you said this: Are you sure you don't have the self leveling option? I believe it was available, as an option, on the ZW7 suspension and came part of Autoride. If it dropped a certain amount but then went back up after driving it, then it's filling up and raising the rear. The same...

    Delphi Front shock leaking

Autoride is an electronic system that monitors vehicle dynamics(speed, acceleration, deceleration, squat, lean...) and adjusts shock firmness accordingly. All 4 corners will have sensors and electrical connections to each of the 4 shocks. Along with that, the rear shocks will have air bladders...

Yes, the shocks are filling up and releasing a bit after turning the engine off. It all appears to be working as it should.

denali center console trim - whats the deal?

GM loves rubberized paint coatings on a lot of their interior pieces. The Denali center console trim is one of those examples and the dash cap is another. Unfortunately, it doesn't last and eventually starts to peel and chip, it's very common. Many decide to refurbish these parts by removing...

    Belltech drop = stiff ride?

The 22s have been on for about a year now. All of the Autoride stuff is a couple of months old, and it's working correcrly. It rode great with the Maxtrac 2" springs and all new Autoride parts. Only change was Belltech 5301 springs and I shortened the sensor rods a bit more.

    aftermarket head lights

The Depo projectors are actually really decent. I've had my black ones for about 4 years now and the lenses are still clear and have no issues...with the exception that they jiggle a little when going over larger bumps. I also have HID lights in them and the cutoff, while not perfect, is very...

HVAC stuck on heat, not the usual blend door actuators...

05 Suburban LT with dual, digital HVAC controls. For a while I've had the same issues as many, anytime I disconnected the battery I needed to recalibrate the blend door actuators and then everything is good. This time, both sides are stuck on heat and resetting/recalibration didnt fix it, so i...

    Extended Wheel Studs

Never mind, found some at Autozone. In case anyone else is needing some, Dorman 530-610 is the right diameter, thread pitch and knurl. They're roughly 1/2" longer than stock and the threaded portion goes out further, about 1/4", effectively making them about 3/4" longer. Worked out perfect...

Want to lower it just a bit - help me choose parts

The Belltech springs everyone likes are part # 5305-xxx. Don't worry about the xxx part, just the 5305. That's a 3-4" spring. 3" with the spacer they come with and 4" without it. Also, Belltech doesn't sell just the springs and spacers, you have to buy a kit to get them.

Want to lower it just a bit - help me choose parts

If you're interested, I have a mild lowering kit I was about to list for sale. It's made by MaxTrac, which isn't really popular but I'm not sure why. It consists of 2-3" drop coils for the rear and 1-2" keys for the front. The keys are brand new, never used or installed. The rear coils were...
