Haha, yeah. They sold shortly after z-56 replied.

    Spacers?

It's good for now. I regularly remove the wheels/tires to inspect.

    Spacers?

Goodyear Duratracs 315/75r16 tires. I ended up doing a .25" spacer and it's good to go.

    Spacers?

Hi guys and gals, I did a little trail running today. Yay!! Here's the issue. I aired down a little to smooth out the ride and I noticed the front tires are rubbing on the uca. I'm thinking a .5" spacer should work but my tires are now toast :( Have any of you gone wheeling regularly with a...

    Bench or Buckets??

I think I figured it out. Tahoe/Yukon second row buckets were used instead of suburban/Yukon XL second row buckets. Now to source at least the passenger side in light grey.

    Bench or Buckets??

I'm not sure. I may run down to the salvage yard and see if mine just has a broken frame. I have seen a lot of evidence of parts broken during removal or installation on this one. I'll snap a pic to share a little later.

    Cleaned it up!!

Washed it up myself on Saturday because the local car washes are sloppy and indifferent. I don't do tire shine because we go off road and I'm too lazy to clean tires haha. I did give the wheel wells a good scrubbing this time. Hope you like the results!

    Bench or Buckets??

The mounting points are not the same. I'll need to fab up something to make sure both buckets have 4 bolts securing them.

    Bench or Buckets??

Awww, that's a bummer. Thanks for the input

    Bench or Buckets??

Hi guys, been tinkering with my 2001 Suburban that has 2nd row buckets. The more I look, the more I suspect it had a bench and the PO installed buckets in the 2nd row. Do you guys know if there is a RPO code that will have that info? Or if anyone is feeling extra helpful, would you snap a pic...

    Bit of a Rant...

Haha, yeah. It will be pretty solid by the time I finish, just gotta get past the initial frustration of all these leaks.

    Bit of a Rant...

Not really looking for advice, more just venting. I recently purchased a 2001 Suburban 4wd. The truck is a bit of a project but seems to run ok. I've been fixing leaks here and there but now it seems like with each leak I fix, another leak develops. So far I've resealed the lower oil pan...

    Another trail run.

I've been trying to get out 1-2 times a month to check out the local trails and last weekend was a fun one. It was about 25miles with 3000ft of elevation change. Anyway, here are a couple of pics.

My "new to me" 2001 Suburban

We did our first short trail this weekend and the truck did great. Here are a couple pics.

My "new to me" 2001 Suburban

I've been asking questions about lifts and 4wd trucks over the last month and I realized I've never shared my rig. I got it about 3-4 weeks ago with every intention of getting on the trails with my family. Enough rambling, here she is. Btw, the stupid tails hit the garbage the day it came...

    Stupid question, hoping for help

Thanks for the reply. It passes smog pretty easily so I would think the cats are ok. I've goosed it around town to see if I could get it above 3500 and it does. It could just be that I'm doing something wrong too. I could be pretty lazy on the gas with my old car and it ran up anything...

    Stupid question, hoping for help

It has the 5.3. Rpms wouldn't go above 2500, that's what really concerned me.

    Stupid question, hoping for help

Hi all, I have a new to me 2001 suburban, 4wd w/ a 6ish" lift and 35" tall tires. According to the PO the truck has 4.56 gears installed at the front and rear axles. It runs great around town but feels a bit sluggish going uphill. I was going up the pass out here and the truck would not go...

    Little interior project..

So I wasn't able to snag much, just as @mountie noted, the good stuff was long gone. I was able to get a set of OE tail lights as the truck came with some lame euro clears, everything else I needed wasn't available. I did find a score on Amazon, the entry/exit light housings on the door panels...

    Little interior project..

That's the plan, I'm very curious what i should be looking for. I've even seen a few trucks being parted.

    Little interior project..

Hi everyone, I finally got into another one of these great trucks, 2001 Suburban. This one is a higher mileage example but still nice. I have a couple questions about some missing and damaged pieces. The door lamp covers are missing, are these available separately or is it part of the panel...

    RCD Lift Questions

I'm looking at a 2001 Suburban with a 6" RCD lift and what appear to be Bilstein 5100s. This is my first look at lifted 4wd trucks. How do these kits ride (generally speaking) vs a leveled truck. The wheel and tire combo is a 16" wheel with nearly new 315/70/R16 Goodyear Duratracs. I expect...

    Dedicated Wheeler/Family Oriented Overlander

I know this was months ago, but give this thread a read all the way through: https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/2000-suburban-k1500-budget-low-lift-with-37-s.166120/ This should answer some of your questions on the running gear. I know this truck is a 2000 K1500 and you have a...
