Get a catch can before any mods.

I would suggest going with CatchCans.com

    Diy catch can install

From what one membes said you could do both sides, he said the majority of the vapors at least 90% come from the driverside. The dealers refers the passenger side PCV as the clean air intake, the driverside PVC is the dirty air intake. This cleared it up for me to just do the driverside.

    Diy catch can install

You might ask this ? with a mechanic. With these gassers you only use the driver side PCV for the catch can. On diesels you vent out both-sides for the PCV open system or closed. IMO with a gasser I feel it would be better to use a CatchCan closed system. JMO.

    Diy catch can install

You can do it that way if you want, I did it that way to my Diesel. The reason for the catch can is you will pass emissions without any BS failure.

Anyone running an Air Lift 1000 kit on the rear of a '07+ Denali??

I had sometime to kill so here you go. http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18534 They say the shocks will NOT increase the load capacity they will just give you a smother ride. This is what they suggest to install to handle a higher load capacity...

Anyone running an Air Lift 1000 kit on the rear of a '07+ Denali??

This might be a good ? to ask GM, unless someone else chimes in. I've only towed a empty UTV trailer one time with my Denali. My HD truck pretty much does all the towing. IMO, I doubt the air shocks would level out with that much tongue weight. I would be curious as to why air bags won't work on...

Anyone running an Air Lift 1000 kit on the rear of a '07+ Denali??

The air shocks is the self leveling system, so when you turn the key on and the shocks air up that is the so called "Self Leveling System". As to why they say that kit will not work on a self leveling system, this would be a good ? to ask AirLift. http://www.airliftcompany.com/shop/60769/

Anyone running an Air Lift 1000 kit on the rear of a '07+ Denali??

This Airlift Load Controller II will always keep at least 5 psi in the airbags. http://www.airliftcompany.com/shop/25592/ Shop around you can find it cheaper than the suggested price. I had mine on my last Diesel for 4 years and the same controller ( I removed it when I traded in) and put it on...

    Diy catch can install

One ounce ain't bad after 4K, but when the miles rack up and you have more blow-by then having a CC would be something everyone IMO should consider installing. Might as well install one sooner than later.

    Diy catch can install

I'm happy to help, glad you gots everything. :waytogo: I'm also disappointed with NO instructions, I had to read his vague online instructions a few times on which hose went where. It's pretty simple once you've installed one, but having a little more information before you install your...

    Catch can question

I've used Napa Gold oil filters for years in every vehicle I own with no problems, but in my book 2 strikes your out.

    Catch can question

Are you having lifter issues ? If your having dry starts when the engine is cold similar to when you do a oil change and you don't prime the oil filter. If your using a Napa Gold oil filter or any other brand oil filter then go back to using the A/C Delco. I had a problem with lifter clatter...

    Diy catch can install

The 3/8" ID fuel/vapor/PCV line is separate from the 5/8" ID asphalt coated cloth loom. You might try calling another Napa or the same one and ask for someone that knows something. I had the same problem with 2 Napa's on the cloth loom they did not know that anything like this existed. I...

    Diy catch can install

Just a FYI there are NO performance or mileage gains with this mod. But doing something to help control the PCV oil vapors from entering in the intake is a good thing. The dealers call it the dirty intake line as it pulls, thru vacuum the oil vapors from the driver side valve cover into the...

    Diy catch can install

If your talking about mounting on the master cylinder bolt, you use the same bolt and nut. Just remove the nut on the left side of the master cylinder, slide the catch can bracket on the bolt, put the nut back on and tighten it up. I first positioned the catch can on the bracket, tightened...

    DIY CAI stock intake mod

When I first did this DIY on a vehicle I was a little chicken, I was hesitant but I did it anyway. The first thing I did was just open up the the airbox and drove it for a few days, and did some monitoring, it was a positive improvement. After noticing how small the opening was in the fender...

Resonator delete or MBRP full exhaust?

Most of the claims on pretty much any minimal exhaust changes or aftermarket exhaust is over stated, except for maybe a full exhaust. Then you might see some performance gains, pretty much no mpg gains. The only real gains I have found over the years is removing/replacing the stock muffler with...

    DIY CAI stock intake mod

Its not changing the air temp to be cooler it's allowing more airflow thru the opening which will help reduce the IAT and raise the MAF g/s. Doing the Airaid MXP box with tube/scoop would result in pretty close to the same results, it just costs more. No matter what you buy or do the IAT's...

    DIY CAI stock intake mod

These stock intake mods are not new to the world, do a internet search on the subject. Type in the search "DIY CAI STOCK AIRBOX MOD" mine is in there along with several others. You can also try "DIY STOCK INTAK MOD" ETC,ETC you will find many links on this subject and your will have several...

    programmer/ module questions

For you a basic can/generic tuner works, they are pretty much universal for several engines. I'm glad it works good for you. If any of these type tuners would had stated they could make changes to the trans shifting along with tuning I would have went that route. :waytogo:

Airaid Jr installed. Question about resetting computer

Interesting I never pointed out "who" jumped in and made those statements. ---------- Post added at 07:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:32 AM ---------- For everyone else, BTY this is NOT something new. Has anyone even bothered doing a Internet search on this subject? "DIY CAI...

Airaid Jr installed. Question about resetting computer

No it was not directed to you, where I'm getting pissed is when another person on this forum that sells stuff claimed I could never get the numbers MAF g/s and IAT that I claimed, they was plain as day on the dyno and my AutoCal. As far as dyno I've dealt with a speed & RV shop in Phoenix since...

Airaid Jr installed. Question about resetting computer

DUDE, I was just offering something that DOES work quite well and the PERFORMANCE is quite noticeable. I know its not the same as ram but its darn close. The dealership will see a aftermarket intake and will note this to GM, this mod is NOT seen unless the tech removes the air box. FAT...

Airaid Jr installed. Question about resetting computer

I don't know what type of dyno testing your doing, the dyno testing we have done says different. The whole point of making more airflow available like what I do is the max available airflow is ready when needed. What your saying would be the same as building a ram airflow setup before the...

    Mbrp exhaust

Like Fuzz said with exhaust you won't net any gains other than, maybe a little sound. With longtubes/headers you will gain a little in power, none of these will give you much if any gains in mileage. If your thinking about doing exhaust and/or intake and EFI consider doing the EFI last. With...
