I went to @fiatdale build thread of his old Tahoe and the pictures were gone. I was wanting to see the rear of it where he shaved the wiper and handle.
Any recommendation on a drop Shock for the rear of a lowered Tahoe? It’s currently sitting on a Belltech 2/4 drop (spindles and springs) with the front having the adjustable shocks set at zero and the rear has stock shocks with relocators. I did have the front shocks 1” lower and the belltech...
So I’ve got the older nnbs bumper and it doesn’t have the cool hitch cover. Did gm make an oem cover for the bumpers like mine? I’ve found a few pictures online and I’m not sure if it is factory or not. I’ve seen the street scene ones and I’m not super fond of them. Pictures of my bumper and...
so I really like how the new LTZ handles look with their color matched inserts. Unfortunately they aren’t the same so I can’t swap them out to my older Tahoe. I came up with a decent alternative. I bought some Avery pearl white vinyl and added my own “inserts” to my chrome handles. I’m pretty...
I tried googling as well as trying to dig up old threads but ive came up with roadblocks and dead links. Does anyone have any real life pics and not computer generated pictures of any installed? also how does the grille fitment look? can you use the oem grille inserts or do you have to use their...
So long story short I traded my oem Nav, nav antenna, bezel, and some cash for this restyle radio for my wife’s Tahoe. She however doesn’t want to give up her Kenwood because she loves her Apple CarPlay. Guess I should have checked with her before I decided to surprise her with it lol. So I...
So I did this mod to our old 06 Tahoe and loved it. It helped out a ton when loading groceries and what not in a darker parking lot. I finally acquired a newer dome light for our 08 Tahoe. I had to paint it black since the headliner is tan-ish and so was the light. In a nut shell I cut a hole in...
i wanted to share with you guys the install I did on our Tahoe. You guys with kids know that those mirrors you mount on the headrests suck at trying to see your rear facing baby. I came up with a pretty slick way for us to see our now 8month old. It's been installed for a few months but I'm just...
I've got a GM Lockpick for 07-11 Tahoes and Yukons. This allows you to watch video while driving, add front and rear camera, enter nav addresses in motion, and select xm channels in motion. Removed it out of A customers Tahoe when he went aftermarket. New they are $299, id like to get $200obo...
So I figured with new updates I should start a build thread and have everything done shown in one spot. Back in August of last year we traded in our 06 Z71 Tahoe in for this one. It was in great shape with 120k miles on it. Only big gripe with it was the ugly headlights and wheels.
First...
Has anybody added the chrome trim with something aftermarket and it look decent? I want to add some but it's hard to pay $140+ for Oem. I've seen different listings on eBay but you can't trust everything you see on eBay.
Not sure if anyone has seen this yet but metra has released a dash kit to put a double din in the bastard 1.5 din tahoes. We have one at the shop and it looks to be nice quality.

So the wife's 08 LTZ came with the autoride of course. After we bought it I noticed that the rear shocks were blown all to shit. I swapped them for some oem 06 shocks we had from a buddies Yukon to get me by because the truck had some weird swaying when hitting bumps. I never heard the...
so the wifes 06 z71 has been a good one but the mileage was creeping up past 200k and nnbs tahoes have been catching the wifes eye. so i bit the bullet and traded hers in on an 08 LTZ. heres a pic of the old Tahoe first.
heres the new one. its a pearl white 08 LTZ with 120k miles on the...
ive got a leak coming from the 3joint connector by the heatercore. theres a hose that runs from the water pump to this joint and it divides to the heater core and the auxiliary heater hardlines. its got a bunch of clip fittings, do i need a special tool to replace it? heres a pic
so its been a month since i had to change the water pump in my tahoe. its an 06 z71 with 183k miles. we were driving down the interstate when i heard a squeeling sound. we immedietly pulled off to the side of the road and found it was the pump gushing water and the squeeling was the water on...
so my friends dad bought new wheels for his silverado and took his ltz wheels off. since i work at a stereo shop, he inquired about adding a 4channel amp to his existing stereo work. i ended up installing a Memphis 4channel amp i had laying around into his truck and gave him $200 and the ltzs...
so after using the tahoe to tow my truck i noticed that my oil pressure gauge goes straight to 80 upon starting up and stays there. im assuming that its the oil pressure switch that went bad. from what ive found its located at the back of the intake on top of the engine. looks really hard to get...
i installed led bulbs in my dome lights but i wanted to be greedy and have them all come on when the doors opened so heres what we come up with. pretty much its the same procedure as doing a 4hi or 6hi headlight setup. on the backside of the dome light assembly i jumped from the 12v side of the...
we swapped my friends jump seat out for a console and now he has his tan cloth jump seat and dash trim piece that holds the cig lighter and ash tray left over. is it worth listing on ebay since its so dang big and heavy?
my tahoe didnt come equipped with a third row and i was wondering how i can go about adding it. i assume the floor is pre-threaded so i would have to just get brackets and cut my carpet?
Installed a belltech 2/4 kit today. It included spindles, springs, and shock relocators. Went together very easy considering this is the first one I've done. Had to throw on another friends escalade wheels on temporarily till he gets his 22s in the next few days
