Trany slipping from 3rd to 4th on acceleration
I just had the fluld changed and as I am driving it home I noticed that it slipps from 3rd to 4th. When I let off the gas it catches and all is ok. Wierd engine sound
It is hard to decribe but it sounds as if the engine can't get enough air in or push enough air out. RPM's don't change, it does feel like I have lost some power. It does not do it all the time, outside temp makes no difference. It will do it on cold days or on hot (100+) days. Can't ID what...- Yukonxl

Who has the highest miles thread.
I have an 2000 Yukon Xl 5.3, and I have logged 187K. No major issues until this month. The tranny is slipping when upshifting from 3rd to 4th, but if I let off the gas it changes gears and every now and then my engine sounds wierd. I am actually gonna ask for advice in another thread. Revving too high before it will shift...
Mine just started with high rev from 2-3 gear, but it was after I had my trans oil flushed and changed. The mechanic thinks it is a vacuum thing and that the oil change loosened up something. I am taking it in next week, I guess we will see.- Yukonxl
