    Replace 9005 with H13?

Is it possible to install an H13 bulb into a 2001 Yukon, with no or minimal adjustments?

Get a catch can before any mods.

Finally, got around to replacing the PCV valve grommet. It was torn about 3/4 of the way around. So, I'm sure there was a pretty good vacuum leak. I'm hoping this was the cause of the P0171 and P0174 DTC's I was getting when the weather would cool off. Cleared the codes, and will cross fingers...

Get a catch can before any mods.

Installed my homemade catch can, this morning. Looking forward to checking it in a few weeks. BTW, When I pulled my PCV valve, I noticed the grommet was torn. Gotta pick up a replacement @ O'Reilly's. Be sure to check yours, on older vehicles. EJ

    P0440, and gas cap vacuum?

UPDATE: I've been watching, and tracking the DTCs. Still getting P0440, only when tank drops to less than 80%, as per service manual info. However, I deliberately waited to fill up, after running through an entire tank of gas. When I opened the gas cap there was a loooong hissing sound, and...

    P0440, and gas cap vacuum?

My problem seems to be a little different than most, with EVAP problems. I didn't start getting the dreaded P0440, until a couple of weeks after having the fuel pump replaced. At first it didn't seem to appear until fuel level dropped to 1/4 of a tank. Also, when I removed the gas cap, it...

    Rear Passenger Side Floorboard Wet

I recently diagnosed a 2012 Lucerne, with the same problem. Turned out that the vapor barrier on the inside surface of the door ( behind the door panel), had come loose, and was allowing rain water to run down the inside surface of the door. You might look for excessive warping of the belt...

    Door trim

I like the without, also. Of course, I'm de-badging my Denali XL. And, I'm considering removing some of the fancy Denali trim, also.

Engine dies when hot, but may not have DTC

Which is why I bought my pump 2 years ago, after I bought the truck. At that time, a tech at the dealership told me, there was a TSB for the harness. So, we just replaced that, back then. 163K and my fuel pump finally gave out. So glad that's over with. EJ

Engine dies when hot, but may not have DTC

Update: They finally put in my fuel pump. (Like I had asked, from the start. But, the tech talked me out of it.) Drove home tonight, and made a couple of stops, to deliberately let the motor heat soak a coupe of times. Engine ran fine. No stalls, no stumbles, no errors. Anxious to see how it...

    Buyers be Aware

Contacting GM may or may not help. Worth a shot, though. Oil Life monitor must be below 20% or at Owner's Manual recommended intervals.

Engine dies when hot, but may not have DTC

Replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor, today. I didn't get 2 miles from work, when it died, AGAIN. THIS SUCKS!!! Temps in the 90's, today. I was driving with the A/C on, when it died. Anyone else have any ideas? Please. EJ

You're going to get gas down your arm, no matter what. You can pull the fuse, and start the truck, to relieve the pressure. That will help a little. But, any fuel in the line, from the top of the fuel pump to the filter, and up to the engine, will run out. Put a drain pan under the filter, and...

    Wrecked Denali. Need parts advice

I'm calling BS :sorrysign: Just look at the top of the door, that A-Pillar is tweaked. http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l50/bas1620/Mobile%20Uploads/1B2399C9-AC09-4941-9BBA-23432D0D9FEC_zpssoo4iogc.jpg If that dash trim isn't too bad, I'm sure anyone looking for a Double DIN might be...

Fuel filter is simple to replace. It's right under the driver's door, inboard side of the frame.

Wow... Funny this should be first. Mine is doing similar. Except, mine is actually dying. I work for a GMC dealership, and our guys aren't exactly sure. Mine has thrown a trouble code. Something about the Crankshaft Timing Sensor. It's only died 3 times in a two week period. But, only after...

So, that's how you get oil residue in your TB!

IMHO... NO. You don't have any control over the direction the straw points, and the spray goes. Actually, I have drilled a hole in my CAI tube, just before the TB. This allows me to control how far in, and the aim of the regular straw. Just thought that if the crankcase vent to the TB had a...

Yeah, right. I've tried that stupid tube. It's a colossal PITA.

That's what I thought. No prob. Also, I was wondering if that port on the TB could be used for an entry point if spraying Sea Foam? :hmmm2: EJ

Uh, don't you mean LEFT valve cover. PCV valve is on the left/"Driver's" side.

What do you mean by "De-oil intake manifold"? I don't recall seeing that phrase, before.

So, that's how you get oil residue in your TB!

I am looking into making my own catch can. However, that won't stop the TB from drawing an air/oil vapor from the right valve cover. What's the purpose of that, anyway?
