I’ve got a 03 2wd Tahoe and After replacing every single front end part including both hubs and control arm bushings I’m down to trying the washer trick and will report back In the near future
I’ve got a 03 and had the guy who rebuilt the cluster install a trans temp gauge while he was in there working his magic then once it was returned to me I installed said cluster and BAM!! Trans temp worked with no other adjustments or programming
No spacers, it looks good but would look better with a wider track.... decided to buy new rims for my pick up and moved my 17x9 centerlines over to the hoe... next week I’m getting 305-65-17 bfg all terrains
Typically the all terrain tires will sound nice and quiet and ride pretty smooth until you get over say 25000 plus miles on them then they get noisy ..... keeping the truck aligned and tires balance will buy you some time and mileage but from my 30+ years experience they all start getting some...
Squirt some wd40 on bushings then see what happens.... try doing one corner of the vehicle taking it for test rides before moving to the next corner until your able to pin point what side is the culprit or emliminate said bushing altogether
If you have over 200k miles on front end components you need to change them .... they may seem ok but trust me when you change them your gonna be surprised how much tighter the truck is.... don't forget control arm bushings either ...... that rubber is hard and dry
Unless you have a floor press to replace the bushings in the control arms buying new arms with ball joints already installed is going to be the easiest time efficient way to go.
whats up gang?!??... I'm currently running Tony's 2-3 spindle drop on my 2wd 2003 hoe and thinking about ditching this set up for a slightly higher more off-road look using 2" lift spindles and possibly lift keys up front to get the look I'm after. My question for those that know is what kind of...
I was just thinking about replacing mine, im sitting on a 2/3 spindle drop and have completely rebuild the front end, the only thing left are the rear arms
Definitely got to pull the box to make it easier then a pitman arm puller and impact gun had mine off pretty quick...... Its always easier the second time around
