It is tuned using EFILive. From the early beginning I wasn't sure that OEM ECM, will not be able to work with my engine, but seems it is more than enough
C'mon, there is no chance to pull a boat with 3.08 gearset. This ratio is fine for regular cars not trucks. Yes, it is good for fuel consuption, but not for the efficiency. You better switch to 3.73 gearset to have better results
The easiest way is to install supercharger kit. Something like magnacharger tvs1900 with a regular size pulley. That will not make the truck similar to race car, but will give you much more pleasure driving it ;)
Mine also become rusty in 1.5 year. Actually it is not so terrible, but I made it clean and covered with special paint(like a rubber) before started to build an engine.
I did that connecting two Bosch S6 70Ah Batteries in parallel. But you can use OEM stuff for that.

JennaBear is absolutely right. OEM MAF is more than enough. I'm using OEM MAF in my twinturbo esky and seeing no problem with it so far. Aftermarkets are rather made by GM(but for another model), rather it is really difficult to calibrate it to work properly with your system. And of course, your...
I've installed DJM sway bars, so really happy about that. If you compare eibach, djm, hotchkis etc, you'll find that all of them are almost the same. Front is 30%harder than stock one and rear almost 70%(as it is made of solid metal not OEM pipe)
If you have escalade 2010 gear ratio is 3.42, but I will change mine to 3.73 this week
Recently I found that Tahoes 5.3L has 3.08(3.42!optional). Damn, that's why it doesn't run well
You are absolutely right. The same HP can be done with one Garrett 45 or 47, but you need at least 3600-3800RPM for the large turbine starts to spool. With two smaller turbines I need 2600-2700RPM only, so that is more useful for a daily driving :))) I wasn't building my esky for a drag racing...
Here are some pics of the process) the photo #4 - water to air intercooler
It looks like stock from outside. Yes it's a bit lower, with BBK installed, but that is all you can see from outside. I will make few pics later
Yep, the idea is good, and I'm satisfied with the sound as well. It's sounds like a stock but much deeper as it goes through turbines housing.
It is not a kit, unfortunately, all custom made. Otherwise it tooks few weeks not 6 months.
