thank you for the write up
i installed new dust shields (what a PITA)
they are still making all kinds of noises, sounds like part of it hitting the inside of the bell for the disc brake
any ideas? I would just rip the damn things out if they werent holding the e-brake on there
still having the same problem, im thinking it has to be a bad wire or something
once again, is there anything that would need to be replaced in the front area of the vehicle to fix this code? for some reason i remember reading something...
Bump can anyone help me with this? Already replaced rear canister solenoid from rockauto or autohauz don't remember.
Light is still on giving those codes....

I ordered that part a while ago and replaced it on my truck. Unfortunately it has not fixed my problem. Is there anything in the engine bay like a solenoid or valve that could be causing this? I've tried to not pay a hefty fee for a dealership to fix this but I need inspection soon....

Thank you for the response, I have to say, this is a much better forum than cadillacforums.com
I swear all they care about are their HP numbers and quarter mile times for their insanely fast CTS-V's :sleepy10:
I see exactly what you are saying, the 1 piece design looks much stronger...
I'm getting error codes p0449 p0455 on my 2004 Escalade ESV
I'm going to replace the evap solenoid with part number AC DELCO 214-2149

Do I need any other associated parts? tubes?
Hey guys, I have an 04 Escalade ESV, the backing plates for the rear brakes are completely shot at 75k miles.
I'm wary of pulling the whole rear end apart as is described by the OP, does buying the 2 piece backing plate (Dorman #924-213) mean that I don't need to pull the axles out and mess...
