You totally dodged the bullet with that one. He could have taken you and your truck to jail. And, any ticket for over 100mph stays on your driving record for 7 years, not 4 like a regular ticket. Ask me how I know.

    Reuse injectors without changing o-rings?

I would never reinstall an injector without changing the o-ring. Especially since the o-rings are so cheap. It's a lot of work to get to them and it is a huge hassle to get back in there if something doesn't seal correctly. I've never pulled or swapped an injector, on any vehicle, without...

With all that work, you'd think the customer would have sprung for a new, decent harmonic balancer and pulley assembly. Sounds like the shop does some decent work at reasonable prices. Hard to find these days. But, maybe I'm just too used to what it costs to do antique car engines. I'm saving up...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I've had a set of Auxito LED bulbs in another car for about 4 years and they are still doing fine. Only issue I've noticed is that lately, there are times when you can hear one of the fans making noise if the headlights are on and the car isn't running. I guess a fan is stating to go out but it...

For $10 I would have kept the old if it was still in working order. Also, is it just the color of the pulleys or does the new one have a larger pulley?

Someone was doing a lousy job with the seam sealer for so many people to be having leaking issues.

I have a passenger endorsement on my CDL. I have doubles/triples, tank and passenger. Those trucks don't have air brakes. Not sure how they figure the overall weight, though. As was previously mentioned, anything with air brakes is an automatic CDL.

It varies from state to state. I know guys that own antique cars that have been pulled over and weighed for hauling with a 1 ton dually and a very large enclosed trailer. Some guys have huge trailers since they own multiple cars and they wanted to have a single trailer to haul whatever they...

This is one reason it always amazed me there is no special license required for operating a Class A motorhome. Just have your regular license and go from driving to your Honda Accord to legally driving a monster motorhome. Makes zero sense. At one time I was a forklift trainer and certifier for...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I still get my medical every 2 years so I can keep it as an interstate CDL. One bonus to keeping my CDL is I never have to worry about being flagged for being overweight when hauling one of my antique cars in an enclosed trailer. My one car weighs 5,000lbs and then when you add in the enclosed...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Any CDL driver worth his salt has a club and checks his tires every time he stops and during his pre-trip inspection. Most 1 ton pickup drivers never bother to check the inside tires, though. It is a combination of the lack of air pressure along with the sidewalls rubbing that causes the tire...

You should really rethink those high speed runs unless you have tires specifically rated for those speeds. Not to mention you are in a very high center of gravity vehicle. As mentioned before, you won't always see the damage done until you have a catastrophic tire loss. There's a reason cars...

Adding additional grounds is never a bad thing. Extra ground leads have solved many a strange issue in previous vehicles I have owned. One had a weak grounding point under the battery and the temp gauge would freak out every once in awhile. Also, the lights would dim with low idle, headlights...

Every time I am at a gas station, I see people clicking the filler handle over and over making sure that fuel is all the way at the top of the filler neck. Anyone that has taken a look at the evap system knows the vapor return is up at the top of the filler neck and if you get fuel flowing back...

    Tech 2 scanner vs Autel

Yeah, I saw that as an add on, which is fine. Thanks for the heads up. Guess I will order one and check it out. Thanks for the responses, guys.

Nice hot rod. While I appreciate the craftmanship and skill needed to do one right, I prefer bone stock prewar cars. You know, more along these lines. It's in my garage, right now.

Great choice going with the Infinity speaker. I have never been a Bose fan. If I wanted decent sound on a budget I would choose Polk Audio over Bose any day. My daily driver Kia Optima has the Harmon Kardon stereo and I think it blows away any factory Bose setup I have ever heard. Plus, I can...

Thank you, Sir. I will check them out. Did the weatherstrip happen to come with the little plastic push clips? Or do I need to source them separately? I've used https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/ many times in the past for all sorts of fasteners and clips so I would most likely use them again...

Anyone have a good source for weatherstripping? The driver's door opening piece is starting to fall apart so it needs to be replaced. I know the usual spots like Rockauto and whatnot, but does anyone have someone they have dealt with that has good prices and great service?
