    Thanks everyone for the help! As there's a chance even the new part will have this issue of warping, I'm trying to get hold of a rubber seal that goes over the plastic bit and the windshield. I'll post pics here once its done.

    Thank you. I'll stop by a GM dealer. Mine is also sun-related deterioration. Any chance I could get the part number online? Or maybe check on Amazon etc?
