2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

Just want to make sure I worded that correctly. It HAD a crankshaft position sensor code.

Sounds good, it sounds like something that could be good for when I try to get my S10 running with the LS in it. Especially when both trucks are being driven and inevitably have issues.

Yeah it fires up on either sensor. The reason I swapped it out was because my code reader that I currently have threw a crankshaft position sensor code.

I don't think I do... I have the Foxwell NT301 tool. That would explain why nothing changed when I ran around the block again. Is that something a shop would need to do for me?

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

Ok so I got it running and put some new fuel and a fuel additive to get everything to play nice. I still have the issue where the battery isn't being charged using an alternator that is confirmed working, but after sputtering around for about 10 minutes I got it to throw a crankshaft position...

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

OK! Good news! I got the Yukon to fire up and drive, it doesn't seem to bog down or die anymore, but it is hesitant under acceleration, I should test to see what my fuel pressure is running while the engine is idling right? But I ran into another issue, I took my known good alternator, and now...

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

It has been sitting for about 2 years, I made the dumb mistake of running the truck on old fuel and I may have gummed up the injectors. I tried starting it with some engine starter with no success.

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

I checked to make sure that everything was clean, contacts are clean, all connections look pretty good. I know engine grounding can cause issues, but I can't find a comprehensive list of where all of those points would be on this truck. I did give the wiring harness a good look over and I...

Sounds good, as I test things I'll update this thread since I have yet to see a thread with a complete ending! Thank you for the help!

I'll give the alternator a shot, the battery is brand new and fully charged (got it replaced under oreilly auto warranty). I have a spare alternator lying around that was tested good. Thank you for the help!

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

Yeah the fuel pump runs, did a pressure test and got 49 pounds of pressure. I get a nice spray of fuel when I press on the Schrader valve. The plugs aren't wet with fuel, but when I try to get the engine to start with an engine starter. I don't get results either. I'm about to swap spark plug...

2004 Yukon XL (Non Flex) cranks but doesn't start.

Hello! I have been working a 2004 GMC Yukon XL today and have seem to run into a bit of a snag. It had been sitting for a bit and when I initially fired it up and ran ok, it would bog down under acceleration but would "drive" fine at idle. As I continued to run the vehicle it would run worse and...
