hey all...recently added to the family (our first) and the Jeep Grand Cherokee ('11 wk2) is finally feeling small. Always have liked the family of trucks but never bought one.

Leaning towards getting a CPO 2014 Yukon XL Denali. If I don't go XL then possibly an Escalade. Trying to get out around mid 40s. Staying away from 2015 or new due to buffeting and because they are just crazy expensive all the way around.

Plan on upgrading the camper, so I like the idea of 6.2 vs 5.3 for the tow vehicle. Plus some extra pickup is always nice.

Love the Escalade and ESV, but not sure about the extra cost.

I appreciate the info that I've come across so far. These all seem to be rather solid vehicles.

Anything I should be aware of? And any thoughts on the Yukon vs XL?

Picking up my 2014 Yukon XL Denali first thing in the morning. I'll post pictures and more details once I take ownership. Really pumped for this truck!

Here is my black beauty! 2014 Denali XL. CPO, 26k miles. Still had plastic wrap on the flip down screens. Headphones and remotes still in plastic. Came with 3 sets of carpet mats plus the gmc mud mats.

That's super clean! Nice buy, im quite jealous! When I was looking into buying a gm, number one I wanted the XL because of the extra space. Can have all my detailing gear in the back and have the third row up if need be. Which has never happened yet lol. But in addition to that I think the XL handles a little better than the standard wheel base. Slower acceleration cuz its heavier, but the long wheel base settles into the road better and rides a little more smooth over the road. I drove a standard wheel base and it was kinda squirrly around the corners and I noticed it sorta bounced a little more. Where as my XL is pretty solid around the corners. Just my 2 cents on the topic of yukon vs yukon XL. Lol. Anyways nice buy! This forum has been so much help for me in the last year since I bought my denali XL. Its a great community of peeps that are quite knowledgeable!
